Actually I don’t take paypal. I am old school, a money order will work for me.

Charlie

:hoot:

I seriously considered buying this gun, but at $950, shipped, the brand X barrel was the game stopper.

With the Dman offer of a $56 quality barrel, that makes the buyer’s price $1006 USD. For a new gun that is currently retailing for $1400+, that makes it a deal hard to beat.

I need a new airgun like I need a third nut, but someone out there has access to a brand new Shortie at hundreds off retail. Someone should jump on this quick! The guy to contact is Charlie at Georgia Airguns. He takes Paypal. (I’ll regret posting this…I just know I’ll regret not buying this gun. This is a genuine very good buy.)

Hoot:

Yeah, that’s a good price. It’s like an insurance

Well Dman, I really appreciate you stepping up with the half off offer on the barrel. That would help all involved in this Peter and Steve fiasco.

Thanks

Charlie Frear

Guess i should of put the $$$$ up there…. 56$ and ill send it

Well Dman, I really appreciate you stepping up with the half off offer on the barrel. That would help all involved in this Peter and Steve fiasco.

Thanks

Not sure what is happening… Sounds like the gun has not sold due to the Barrel…

So This i will offer to the Buyer of this gun. I have an extra Listone Barrel that shoots great. (same batch from Keysers Gun)

I will sell it to the buyer for Half OFF…..

This thread really makes my heart sink.. I bought my .25 Vulcan from him right at the end when he still had Top Gun. I remember that something struck me as odd because in the beginning stages of the deal he answered my calls on Sundays was Lively and excited to talk then suddenly after about a month of waiting our next communication he seemed like a different person.. this was also during the second and third runs of the Vulcan shipping dates we’re getting pushback etc… ultimately I was not too concerned as the purchase was through PayPal.. But as time went on Peter seemed to grow almost confused, I had prepaid for the order and kept having to read clarify what all was expected has he had told me he would do some testing and some kind of modification to the shroud..
In the end I received my Vulcan later than expected but functioning extremely well.

I’m sorry for all this trouble you’ve had to endure through this.. and I hope whatever has caused this situation with Peter is more to do with circumstance than character… not to make excuses just trying to maintain a little faith in humanity.
:2cents:

It is a sad story, I bought a lot of stuff from Peter over the years, Once he charged me like 28 dollars shipping for a adjustable butt plate for my cricket, The package came in with a 5.30 dollars shipping label, When I questioned him about it he said that was the shipping Department and he had nothing to do with it.
Some of the things I have heard he has done after selling Top Gun I do think he should be in jail for…
It just makes it hard for all us guys in the sport,
Mike

Thank you Charlie for clearing that up. I was basically trying to figure out what barrel it had….Thanks for the confirmation!

I wish Steve and Peter never were able to do what they have done to so many people. When I bought Peter’s inventory I intentionally did not want to buy his company and the liablility’s that would go with it. Even though I only bought inventory, now I wish I did not.
Sam, apology accepted, I learned after 26 years in the fire station, you always have to hear both sides and then any eyewitnesses to get close to the truth.
Nika, I just took a call from a gentleman named John here in Georgia USA. I am still trying to help you sell your gun.

Charlie Frear

I apologize Charlie for calling you a slime. Nika had trouble communicating and I should have kept my mouth shut until I was sure what was going on. Again I am sorry.

That said, Nika paid $1200 for a Mutant with a CZ barrel. Nika do you have an email or paypal receipt from Peter showing you paid for a Mutant with a CZ barrel? If yes you can probably get all you money back. Might want to copy this thread with Charlies reply for your records.

It’s good to know the details of this story from Charlie although I’m still confused as to why it was shipped to you Charlie as was some other mutants sold by Peter? He sold TGAG to Joe, did he sell his mutants he couldn’t sell to you and ask you to deal with the mess/aftermath?

Now it is my turn.

About two weeks ago I recieved a Mutant Shorty from a shipping facility with no name as far as who it came from. The gun came disassembled, it was missing the following, factory box, fill probe, magazines, O-rings and single shot tray. It also was missing one of the breech seals and the receiver breech seal was damaged so I replaced that. The gun does not have a CZ barrel and it does not have a choke in the barrel.

I took it upon myself to fix and assemble this gun, I then went on to test it at 40 yards which is the distance I normally test at.

I was then contacted via e-mail from Nika, I confirmed to him I had the gun and of the above findings. He disputed my claim of the non CZ barrel so I informed him that Peter was conducting a fire sale and lied to a lot of buyers to get their money.

Nika wanted me to refund him his money, I told him I knew nothing of this gun until it arrived here. I also informed him that I am not the one who received payment for this gun so I was not going to give him a refund. Remember, he did not contact me until after I received the gun.

I told him I did test it at forty yards and it shot okay for a non CZ barreled gun. He then asked me if I would test it at 50 yards, take pictures and help him sell it. I agreed and I did.

I also offered him $650.oo for this non CZ barreled gun as long as I get all the missing accessory’s, that is the wholesale value of this gun to me. I run a business and I am not going to take a loss on a gun I did not sell. I have since taken at least two calls from interested buyers, I gave them the story on this gun.

I informed Nika that before this gun leaves here I need a total of $125.oo for the following, I have tested this gun twice, shooting four five shot groups on both the 40 yard and 50 yard test target listing the pellets and velocity’s shown. I only included a pic of the 50 yard target because that is what he asked for.

So for the $125.oo he is receiving repair, assembly and testing, one of my factory boxes, my mags, fill probe with male foster fitting attached and single shot tray. He is also receiving, packaging, labeling, insurance and shipping as part of the $125.oo.

I am fronting him all of the accessory’s on the promise he is sending me the ones that came with the gun.

Consider this, he is trying to sell a gun through a reputable American airgun retailer, someone who will properly represent this gun and insure that it is in proper working order.

Know this, any gun that goes through Georgia Airguns will be tested for function and accuracy and be openly disclosed as to it’s condition before shipping.

How would you like to buy a gun from someone overseas on their word. Being that I am involved you are going to get the truth on everything about this gun.
When I bought some of Peter’s inventory, there were several guns with just names on them. If you look back on the yellow you will see that I reached out to find the people that owned these guns so that I could get them back to them, if I was such an unscrupulous person I would have sold these guns for my own gain.

I don’t understand some of the poster’s here making comments on things they have no first hand information about.

I am thankful that Tony has encouraged me to put up my side of the story.

I will be glad to answer any further questions about this gun to try and help sell it for Nika.

Sincerely

Charlie Frear, Georgia Airguns

quote ElmerFudd:

I don’t expect Charlie to do this for free but it’s a very strange arrangement between him and Peter.

If he took it upon himself to do it, then yes he did do it for free.

Shipping is around $50. So he’s charging $75 to just pop a few holes in a piece of paper? I don’t expect Charlie to do this for free but it’s a very strange arrangement between him and Peter. If I didn’t already have a Mutant, I would buy yours to help you out. Good price!
