Q:

New .25 Shorts are here!

Hey guys, shameless plug time…

I am super excited about the new .25 shorts. I have longed for one forever and now Ed makes them. These new models have a bunch of upgrades and I think you’ll be pleased. I am going to make a video about all the changes to the R3M. Until my video here’s some eye candy of the new short compared to my personal .25 standard.

I thought the little guy looks perfect with the 2.5-10X32 Vortex PST FFP, notice the balance

Side by side

I have tested them and they came from the factory shooting 895-900 FPS, In my opinion that is the perfect speed for a short .25

I wrote Brian, he told me Ed was developing a Israeli Defence Force version of the Edgun .25 Short…..he’s going to call it the Edgun Swartz!!!

IMHO nobody is doubting the shorty is a little BadAss, the most accurate gun I have owned up to date is a Cricket Compact and that is an even shorter package. Actually the shorter the barrel the better the accuracy.

Me too I like real world shooting but knowing the scientific accuracy and limits of your gun is also good and the two things aren’t in conflict, you can have them both easily.

(And on strippers 4 layers of condoms and as an added benefit at the end you will have lots of used condoms)

:2cents:

Wow a nice sterile laboratory would be cool I guess ….But isn’t that kinda like fucking a stripper with 3 condoms on , Where’s the feeling ? Its nice to have a little breeze and sunshine on your face ….I like the real world shooting , and I know Brian’s ass would never say this , but fuck it I will…
Brian’s a shooting Mother Fucker , but even he needs a good quality rifle to show it . If he says the shorty is a little BadAss then take him at his word .

KS says in his Review of matador that it is not a match trigger

Well this was crystal clear without KS telling us…

But then, a hunting gun doesn’t have to have a match trigger.

A clean and crisp braking and adjustable trigger is enough IMHO

Matador is not for pussies. You must jerk it hard!

Jerking it hard and jamming and my concentration and breathing for the next shot is gone.

Matador is not for pussies. You must jerk it hard!

I’m not 100% sure but I think I never shot the one screw trigger…

UPDATE….

Sorry my mistake….

I checked my notes of a few years back (my personal gun review) and actually my R3M had a one screw trigger and I considered it worse than the two scews trigger because of being as bad but even less adjustable.

Since I had major issues with the cycling or better not cycling of the action I completely forgot about the trigger.

SirVille actually kind of likes the Edgun, it is the parts availability and customer service he dislikes.

quote Sir Ville:

If you really do work on the Customer care and parts availability then you´re on the right track. The Product itself is good.

I perfectly agree with you 😀

I’ve already given a big and long lasting contribution to the cause and for the moment I will hold back (the R3M purchase actually was a donation) but I’m open to get back in business when the time is right and if I fall in love again 😀

Pippo, it looks like your experience is outdated. I am not sure if you are allowed to complain without acquiring a new gun from Ed. Same applies to that drinking Finnish Swede or Sweadish Finn.

Early R3 versions have two screws and It was worse.

My trigger is a dream, and no mods to it. However my older Cricket had a mod to it and even so it could not quite match my compacts trigger. They were different generations though, some parts were completely different etc. If the .25 short had a trigger to match my Cricket I would really like one.

cricket has a better trigger IMHO. I have both

So wich one is in the .25 short? One screw?
