New Condor valve
Been some rumblings about it elsewhere. I called AF to see if I could buy one. Supposedly, this new valve solves the 3000psi fill pressure issue in the Condors and makes them quite consistent.
Issue is that if your Condor is under warranty, they will replace it. If not….. $80 to get the replacement.
They wont sell them seperately though. I called and tried to buy one…no-go. Asked if there were plans for an updated Talon valve and was told…’nope!’

Thought I might give you a taste of what these awesome airguns are capable of. The first picture is a feral pig I took from approx. 40-50 yards with my AA266 custom built .25 Condor (I’m still not convinced that it’s not really a German 88 Field Gun).
The second one was taken with my bone stock .22 Condor. With the .22 I had to fire off enough soft shots beforehand to get it in the power curve. Both pigs are about 80-100LBS.
The .25 Tony built for me provides full power from shot one.

New Condor owner here. Please give us a shot string if possible. Being able to shoot hard at 3000 psi is only good if it means more powerful shots per fill. I really hope the new valve will give a less peaky power curve i.e. more cosistent shots per fill.

I didn’t mail in the card either! I still had it with my paperwork and just sent a copy of it filled out along with the sales receipt. If they gave me any shit, I would have said THEY misplaced it! I got my bottle back Wed. and it still takes 8 lbs. to push the tophat in—same as the old valve. It’s definately a new style but I can’t see it shooting at 3000 PSI with the stock hammer. I will post results as soon as I get enough ambition to fire up that dam FX hand pump. I think I’ll just hit it with the 120g hammer I have in there now. 8)

Whew! We have a one window post office. It only serves a very very rural community of 600 however. There’s rarely a wait. On the other hand UPS is nearly an hour away. FedEx is even further.
I went to the Mail Box store or whatever it is with my bottle all packaged and ready to ship……. that is until the girl told me Fed Ex won’t ship to a P.O. Box.. WTF? Of course AF was closed when I called them to see if they have a street address they use for returns.
I never sent my warranty card in either. I was preoccupied with the gun. AF told me to just fill out the card and send it in with the bottle so that’s what I did. Now I have to wait another day to ship.
And yes, I went to the U.S. Post Office after the Fed Ex debacle and the line was out the door. And I don’t have that kinda patience. There are only three postal tellers/clerks at any time serving the approx. 50,000 -75,000 people that live in my vacinity. It just kills me. For real.
Mail it in now.. send the tank next month, lol
Some places are real strict, I sent something in 3 days BEFORE warranty expired and they tried to charge me because THEY didn’t get to it until after the warranty ended. After several phone calls and them not playing nice by making me provide receipts and stuff just so they didn’t have to admit they were wrong I got my warranty repair for free…
… another place I sent something back broken 1 year after warranty expired, I didn’t sent them any proofs, I’d had called for an RMA and was expecting to get involved and pay for the repair, not only did they fix the problem, but they upgraded it to the latest version chip for free…. the chip alone was $50, repair was 2 hours at $50 an hour just for labor.
Same with my Clothes dryer. I was within the one year warranty by about 3 weeks, but had never sent the receipt in nor mailed in the warranty card. I called and they just sent a guy out and fixed it for free, never required any proof at all. Maytag btw.. good equipment and even better service.
Great I didn’t mail the warranty card in anyone else not do it too?

I am not realy fussed if its warranty or not, my primary objective is to
get it working to the best of its ability, and I dont mind paying a few bucks.
I am not rich or anything, but money is not that important to me 😉

First paragraph from the Airforce warranty:
“Mailing the enclosed warranty card within 60 days of purchase entitles the original buyer to a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship for the life of the Airgun”
So if you haven’t opened up your tank this should be a freebie…Otherwise

Just been on to Geoff in Gunpower Uk this morning,
He knew of its existance but had not seen one yet.
He has no problem in getting them in and selling them. He reckons around the same money as a standard valve.
I have to call him next week.

Hey Dirty Harry, those are awesome man. Didn’t know a .22 pellet can do that 😯 Were they head shots or vitals ?
Can you switch from .25 back to .22 easily i.e. just the barrel ? I would love to give the .25 mod a try sometimes in the future, perhaps a project for this winter. 😀 Even though I would be shooting .22 mostly because we don’t have anything much bigger than racoons here.
