Q:

New Condor valve

Been some rumblings about it elsewhere. I called AF to see if I could buy one. Supposedly, this new valve solves the 3000psi fill pressure issue in the Condors and makes them quite consistent.

Issue is that if your Condor is under warranty, they will replace it. If not….. $80 to get the replacement.

They wont sell them seperately though. I called and tried to buy one…no-go. Asked if there were plans for an updated Talon valve and was told…’nope!’

So I bought my Condor a year past May so 2006 would I qualify?

Randy

May 06 to Sept 07 = 16 Months

Minus 5 Months for the Dog Sled to actually deliver it to the nortern wastes

= 11 Months ownership…. yeah i’d say your good to get the new one Randy 😆

Won’t shoot above 2100 PSI.
Condor–.22 Cal.

Martin,

I won’t be able to send mine until Tuesday or so. Please let us know how yours turns out. What cal. and model do you have? Was your gun not responding to 3000PSI fills as well? 😥

They got my bottle Wed. Should have it back Tues.

Bought my Condor Feb.9.–my birthday!

OMG I cant believe people are talking that way about… oh wait this is the OTHER site were on….. sorry… my bad.

But yeah, this is basically putting the balls back on the gun that THEY castrated by replacing the regular spring they started with, with one that was much stiffer in order to reduce the power and sell the gun as a .177 gun where some overseas markets dictate it must be that caliber. So the FEW .177 owners got a better gun, but the rest of us… in the US I might add.. their HOME country get boned with a gun that wont preform as advertised.

Then they try and feed us a load by telling us that our chronys AND our gauges are wrong….

They created this issue and then sent Gaylord in to convince everyone their gauges were broken..LOL

Yeah, it should be a free upgrade to anyone who owns a Condor. It should be recall of a defective part to bring the gun up to the specs they sold the gun as.

It’s funny really: this “fix” is pretty much just them undoing whatever it is that they did in the first place to give us these 3000psi issues. Been a long time coming if you ask me.

I gave AF a ring last week in regards to the same thing. Spoke with Rachael. Gotta say she is an awesome customer service rep.
Anyway, she said she did not know of a new valve per say, but if I sent my bottle in AF would retrofit it so Condy responds full power to a 3000PSI fill from shot one. Got Condy on 3/09/07 so I’m good to go.
