NEW: FX BOBCAT MK2
Talked to FX via email about the Bobcat MK2 that will allow to external adjusting of Regulator
———–
Yes we have a new Bobcat Mk2.
The difference of the Bobcat and the Bobcat Mk2 is a new lighter tube with
the max pressure of 250bar, regulator standard and manometer upfront (no
copper tube)
They will be available in a week and a half.
Best regards Johan

Wow that’s one hard hitting pellet!!! :4:
I wonder why the .30 caliber is lacking in power compared to the .357? Is it the light lead pellets available, or just not enough fps? There’s no reason it can’t be a much harder hitter!
Hoot:
.30 JSB pellets 44gr @ 900 fps = 80 FPE
.357 JSB pellets 82gr @ 900 fps = 145+ FPE
The bulldog has a 28″ barrel and its about the same length at 36″. IF FX could do a setup similar you would get plenty more power out fo the 30 cal. Just if using a deiablo pellet just increase the weight of it and which would keep the speed around the 900-940 range.
Their “Power Adjuster” sounds like the simple transfer port size reducer they have on their other guns.

I’ve sent several e-mails to FX and Johan was the person who always replied.
After a bit of inquiring, threats and begging i can now announce that a new BC is indeed in the works. Kudos to FX!
Very safe š i don’t like its looks and i already own one Daystate. Air Wolf .22. A marvellous air-rifle btw.
No – i will go on with my Cricket and the soon arriving Vulcan.
Is it safe to assume the new Daystate Pulsar is out of the question for you??
I don’t know the Honcho’s at FX personally. For some reason i’ve never had any interrest in their products although that may change if they come out with a good , real Bullpup. As is i don’t like the Royal action, don’t much care about the ST barrel and i despice the flimsy, ugly plastic mag with its ridiculous little spring. High end ? Please …
I donĀ“t mean that i know anything about FX marketing strategies but it strikes me kinda odd that their biggest dealer here didnĀ“t mention anything about this although we were talking BC a good while. I can think of an “US Export” model of some kind with reg installed in better way than it is now – which is something a third grader kid couldĀ“ve done if asked. Weird things have happened before though so maybe thereĀ“s a new BC around the corner.
In the original post, it shows the message coming from Johan. I don’t know who he is or if he works for FX but it sounds like a Swedish enough name to me. Perhaps you may know him Sir Ville?
It’s ugly ! And imo the Royal block/action isn’t a good choice for a BP plattform. I know the trigger is good. And i know it’s ugly, if i haven’t mentioned that yet. I don’t know about the AOA but what i understand from people here they suck. And i know they’ve hyped the FX brand and jacked up the price on ridiculous level. High-end airgun price in US for a middle of the road brand in Europe – where it’s made. Funny ! It’s like they sold a Chevy Impala for the price of a Mercedes, Audi or a BMW and had an aura of it being in the same class with the German cars. What a joke.
FX = a good workingman like airgun. Not in a class of Air Arms, Daystate nor Steyr.
You know ville…
Its not a bad platform. It has an ok trigger (Ill explain more at a later time) ….. That bigass gauge on the side, It was heavy. and everything to make it work was heavy.
By them getting rid of setup and going with a traditional Fill probe on the Front. would save prob atleast 1.5lbs.
When i had mine and they couldn’t fix the off centered gauge issue. i took it apart and it was dam heavy. Now the other issue is FX loves that 11mm dovetail…..
fuck that dovetail and go with the picatinny/weaver
O almost forgot. Dump AOA too…. then i would have one in my stable once again!!
IWA is in March. Well – if they did a new one from ground up then kudos to FX. The original is build around the Royal action and it’s not the best platform for a Bullpup. I said from the beginning they should’ve started from the scratch. If there’s any truth to this rumor then that’s good news.
From what I hear,
This is a completely, from the ground up new rifle not just a remake of the existing model.
…we’ll see I hear the unveiling will be at the IWA,…when is the IWA anyway :biggrinn:
