Q:

New LDC line up including Fat Boy

Ok guys, I’ve been MIA for a long long time working on my new designs and waiting for the new lathe that Dman recommended. The machine finally arrived last Friday and it has been really fun. I still can’t make shrouds yet, the machine didn’t come with all the parts that I need. So for guys who are waiting for shrouds, Hopefully I can get the tools soon and get them out to you quick. Promise I’ll make it up to you.

I have 4 new LDCs but I am super excited about the Fat Boy. This is my 4.25 inch x 2 inch OD. With this thing on, my .25 Edgun Matador sounds like the Mutant. I will even go above and beyond and say I think it is even quieter than the Mutant but I’ll let you guys decide 🙂

I have no secrets to keep with my LDC design because with these models, you can unscrew the end caps and see for yourself. I recently purchased a $5k laser cutter to help me take my hobby to the next level. I laser cut 1/4 felt sheets into spacers around the baffles and washers. I pack it in really well and it cushions all the blast.

Yesterday I sent out all the pre-orders and after stopping by the post office, I went home and played with the idea of using 1/4 thick felt as spacers. Drew my design in CAD and let the laser cutter do its thing. Amazing how accurate it cuts. Fits the tube like a glove. Anyways I was blown away by how effective it is. Long story short, I will be sending out an upgrade package to the LDCs that I sent out.

I have a limited number of the Fat boys so if you want one, they are $155 shipped within the US. Someone suggested I make a soup label and include it since it looks like a soup can lol.

All LDCs are $155 shipped

Sizes available are:
6 3/8 x 1.5 Glossy CF
7 5/8 x 1.5 Glossy CF
4.25 x 2 Glossy CF

4.25 x 2 Matte CF

Thank you to all the pre-orders

Hey guys I just want to mention, when you screw on the LDC hold onto the rear end cap to screw it onto the shroud. If you hold onto the tube you will torque it too much and it will be a pain in the butt if you want to unscrew the rear cap from the tube. You do not need to torque it too much either. Same thing with the shroud, hang onto the OEM shroud when you screw on the LDC. If you are holding onto the gun and torquing the LDC, the shroud will screw tighter onto the barrel. Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions.

Donny a few questions.

What size do you recommend for a Cricket Compact

The Fatboy will screw right on Cricket Compact without an adapter?

My Cricket rifle has the LDC that goes on with a small set screw, it has no threads on the end of the barrel. It needs an adapter?

I think I am having a paradigm shift… looking at the photos, I am attracted more to the grass than the rifles…..

That guy is creepy. I love the characters he plays.

I have an uncle who looked exactly like Chirugh. He wore the same hair cut and clothes back in the early eighties. That was norm back then..

Yep, I’ve seen it alright. He plays the bad Guy in the new upcoming Pirates of Caribbean, Dead Men Tell No Tales

BTW it’s a long. One of the first Tony imported back in 2011 or 12 I believe… It’s been a while.

I added the multi shot breech a couple years ago..

Your right! It is a long SOB!

It serves it purpose well. I use it as my bench gun. Overall length is 38 inches with the Fatboy. Not bad considering its spitting out .25 kings at about 900 fps with a shot count of 70 + shots. It’s my most accurate gun.

Have you ever seen no country for old man? My r3 reminds me of Anton’s gun…

Wow, that is such a long gun! Is it a standard r3m? How long is it with the fat boy?

The Mutant looks good with that fatty on it!

Got my Fatboy from Donny. It looks freakin’ awesome!!!

Performs as well. To my ears, it quiets my mutant and r3 a tad better than Donny’s longer smaller diameter Ldc. How I look at it, I get performance of a longer pickle in a short, stubby package. I really think this unit is a winner.

One other quick detail. On my mutant, I think it would have hushed her more with the .22 cal baffles. I’ll need to test them on the FB. So, I expect my mutant to be even quieter. Wow!!

thanks Donny!!!!!

New lathe is my top priority. I told the kids to stand by the garage door for extra cushion. We’re suppose to get 85 mph winds tomorrow morning.

Thanks Spinj.

Hey Donny, the latest news on CNN states that Hurricane Andrew is going to be a killer storm. May God bless you all out there on the East Coast. Stay safep and don’t forget to batten down the lathes and machinery of yours.

Donny, everyday you seem to come up with something new and exciting for our PCPs. Keep up the good work, they look very nice.

If the .25 shroud is similar to the STD and Shorty Mutant I don’t think that will be a problem Birdman. The front cap unscrews and you can get a 1/2 x 20 adapter from Dman or John Hagan. My LDCs are specific to 1/2 x 20 threads but I can also provide caps for Vulcan owners.

Donnyfl , I know that the Mutant Shorty .25 cal. has not hit the market yet , however for those who are going to get one
do you think that you will be able to make a LDC Fatboy that will work for this gun if the makers of the Mutant do not make
an LDC that will come as a stock item for the .25 cal. Mutant ?
