Ernest, why Vulcan does not suffer from POI shift because of AT pressure changes? It has a pretty similar design to Cricket.

I haven’t shot the Vulcan on paper through out the fill range for POI shifting. so I cant say!

Did the machining of the spacer do anything for the ping? I noticed also that you did not add any tape to it. How is this working?

well that spacer isnt making any noise without the oring mod.

overall the shot cycle sounded solid. next one will cut more milling slots to increase air space.

And to add, what is the grease that you use for lubing like for when you slide the reg back in place? Is it just 100% silicone?

Vulcan Barrel and air tube reassembly:

Very nice Ernest. Good idea on beveling the fill probe hole, that should save wear and tear on the fill probe O-rings.

Ernest what is the thread size and screw length. I have nylon tipped set screws for my cricket. Might just get them instead if they are available. Think Mc master Carr

The Vulcan and mutant use the same size, but the cricket is a step down in size.

Here’s a video to add an oring under the ball check on the bleed screw and air tube reassembly!

1.The ball keeps the oring centered while compressing the oring–after a lot of testing its best to lightly seat the ball metal to metal then the oring will do the rest.

WOW, Earnest this is awesome information, and I appreciate your posting them to educate us. My 25 Vulcan is my one and only PCP and even though your vids are very informative I still would like to send to you for a professional tune. Would you please PM me the cost and a timeline for completion from when you receive my Vulcan? Thanks a bunch and Merry Christmas! :4: :4:
