Very Useful information Ernest, can you advise on cost and source of the reg tester.

Thanks for the share… :biggrinn:

Very nice. Mines getting the once over as we speak.

Huge thanks to Ernest. With the info in this latest batch of videos + a few tidbits from there and there, I did the full surgery on the air tube.

1. Smoothed out the fill port edges
2. Installed a “bottle brush” depinger in the air cylinder
3. Adjusted my regulator down from 150 to 135 bar
4. Cushioned the air regulator spacer with an o-ring and electrical tape

The only gotchas were

a. An infuriatingly tight forward strap. The rear one easily released the air cylinder, but the forward one simply was too tight even with the bolts completely loose. The only way to get things off was to pull the forward strap along with the cylinder and off the barrel. Then I could gradually get the strap off the cylinder.
Scuffed up the the air cylinder a bit, and had to lap the band slightly to allow reinstallation. Taking care of this overly tight strap about quadrupled the required effort.

b. Needing to realign the barrel in the breach. Nice side effect is that my magazines swing so much easier into position. The factory position had the barrel just a tad too deep into the breach block.

Overall a good day’s work made possible by Ernest.

There is still a slight thunk from the hammer spring, but I think this is as quiet as this Vulcan will get.

Ernest is the best when it comes to tuning crickets and Vulcans…or should I just say PCPs in general.

I quite like these real time brain surgery videos.

Let me know I can send a tin or two your way in a heart beat….

Need to make move videos before shooting through the crony—don’t think it’s enough—> but I have a pallet of the 18g so don’t worry!

do you have enough pellets?

Yes it’s mine I can tell by the shiny hole on the receiver when you removed the side plate……… good eye on my part.

Thanks, Ernest. Great set of videos.
I like your smoothing of the fill port.

Several here recommend putting an 0-ring under the bleed screw because it will leak after the bleed has been used.
Do you recommend that as well?

Yes been using oring and a delrin seat that I machined, will cover that during the AT re-alignment
