OIL,OIL, TOIL and trouble
This oil spill in the gulf has been going on for about one month now.
This is going to reach catastropic proportions if it hasnt already .
I thought some of the guys on here could put thier evil genius 😈 to good use .
does anyone have any good or bad ideas that they think might slow down or stop this ??
Im no engineer , but first I would remove BP and and anyone else involved from the picture .
As they have a certain amount of time money and may pose a conflict of interest in getting this done quickly.
I dunno, if thats true or not , but lets start new .
Ok My idea , (maybe it wouldnt work , I dunno ) would be to dump 30 or 40 cargo ships full of gravel and 1 ton blocks of stone . just keep dumping till it stops .
In an attempt to smother it . then apply some some type of concrete to seal it .
re drill (I know) next to it, or tap it . to remove pressure .
Im no engineer man , just shooting it out there to you evil geniuses who might be able to springboard off that . I know some of you fucks are clever enough to get it done
whats your ideas ? Cause BP doesnt have any .
waiting till the well runs dry (literaly) isnt an option .

It is really like trying to figure out a Volcanic Plasmic flow volume but from
what I have seen loading ships and monitoring flow rates it could be as much
as or more than 6,000 barrels an hour…. A lot of what is seen on the
videos is gas so it makes it even harder to calculate because the gas and oil
is mixed….

Your right about the amount escaping, the enviromentalists and oceanographers, claim it is far more than BP states, and BP says they don’t really know for sure.

I figured they would give a conservative number , But based on the wells youve seen blown before ,

Depending on the depth and lateral distance it could be as much as a
month…. There is also way more than 250,000 gallonsn (6,000 barrels) per
day coming out of that well…..
How long would it take to slant drill and cap ??

The only way they are going to stop it is to drill a directional well into the
existing well and cement it shut…. It has been done many times before… It
just doesn’t happen in a day…. Living in Louisiana most of my life, we lived
ate and breathed oil field…. I have never been on a blowout but have seen
many on land… This was the same thing that happened out there… Not
enough mud in the hole to hold down the pressure in the formation that they
drilled into and the Blow Out Preventer was trashed before it blew so there
was no way to stop it once it started to blow….
As for cleaning it up. That is not going to happen in any way shape or form…
An impossible task to say the least…. It will be interesting to see what sort of
devastation it causes….
I figure if you put enough gravel, block ,and a few ships full of steel rebar ,
you might be able to stop it .
maybe it wont , But Im not seeing any progress here.
It seems to be covered in rubble , and they cant seem to figure out how to seal it with all that shit in the way .
I think theyre concerned with “”Capping it “” So it can still be used .
But I think its beyond capping right now . my self .
seal it . take the $$$$ loss for now .

It would seem that just the act of drilling that deep was pulling a rabbit out of their ass.
I don’t think they have any better ideas than what we on this forum could come up with.
One has to wonder what will happen if that damn thing keeps spewing. These oceans are connected, if they stop the salinity cycle in the Atlantic by killing off the sea life there, and the experts claim it will get there, there is no end to the havac that will cause.
Your idea is basically how they stopped Chernobyl.
Just stopping up the pipe spewing now, it is claimed will just cause it to come out of several other breaks, but maybe your idea would work. I think it worked on the Bacardi Rum commercial or what ever that booze commercial where everybody brought a bucket of dirt and dumped it over until they had an island to party on.
Question is, what will the currents do to your rock mass and the slump factor of your cement in that mile drop?
