Thanks PiterM !
Once I get it outside into the natural daylight it should perk up some.
Know you’re shooting the Leshiy, but do you still have your Lelya 177 cal ?

You’ll be surprised at what Hi-end cars the Islanders drive here, Lambos, Ferrari and my fav good old American muscle cars.
Usually open her up at night or early mornings ….. but not at full mph of 200 though, maybe 130mph.
Glade and sad at the sametime, the wife is happier and that’s the main thing.
Guy from the mainland bough it and had it shipped out to him.
~ Greg, back to AGs.
very cool! BTW, stunning wood on that one!
Greg , that was may to much car for the Island, IMO.
My sentiments, EXACTLY! One end of the island to the other in like 3 minutes. And that’s WITH traffic. :suprisedn:
I had many talks with the Dr Beeman about the 22 , 20, and 177 caliber guns,
Even after 50 years I can hear his words.
Greg , that was may to much car for the Island, IMO.
Keep us posted on your Lelya, Sounds like a way cool gun,
Mike
Been intrigued by that caliber for ages, but people have told me it’s a weird compromise between 177 and 22.
Lars
Yes, me as well …..
Shoot my friends new Sheridan Blue Streak 20 Cal (a vintage now) years ago.
It depends on what you’re use to shooting.
Back then I shot only 177 cal and my friend 22 cal.
First thing I noticed was how large they were and my friend thinks it’s small.
They’re a lot of talk about the 177 & 22 vs the 20 cal it seems.
Not many seem to like the one in the middle with it’s price point for ammo.
Bias as it seems, I’m game to try it.
In the meantime some reads :

Will be interested in your thoughts on .20 in a compact package.

Enjoy!
Thanks meech !

You have a fine gun there :8:
Enjoy!
.
The PatchWorm seems to be too small again IMO.
Their patches need a clearance of .033″ ish for each caliber to fit well onto the sides of the barrel.
I used some tape to increase the diameter to, .20 cal – .032″ = .168″ OD

With the breech slide open like a 1911 and stay open even if the triggers pulled.
It needs to be closed until it just clicks to be decock.
Ammo and scope arriving this Monday …
Hum, no O-rings came with the Lelya 20 cal ….. anyone know what the size is for the pellet probe ?
Is it, 1mm X 2.7mm Metric Buna-N 70 O-ring ?

Thanks lars-atx !

They shall not covet thy neighbors Lelya.
ok, ok. it moved a little here too. :biggrinn:
very nice looking Lelya there.
That’s one fine looking gun, Is it as small as it looks?
Or is that just the way the picture was taken?
.20 now that’s an odd caliber, Pretty limited on pellets to,
You have not even broke the 25 Veteran shorty in, wow, You got them coming in fast.
Mike
Thanks Mike !!
Here is the OAL of my Lelya, 21-21.25″.

LOP = 14.5 – 15″.

The weight of the action only with a 200 bar fill.

Total weight, gun only calling it 5 lbs.

The top pellets are JSB 13.73g, H&N Baracuda 13.58g and PolyMags 13g.
Being a new caliber for me I’m stocking up after verifying it’s a shooter first.
After selling my Snake/Shelby 1000 😥 the wife doesn’t mind me spending some of it on Airguns.
She was is absolutely scared to death to go riding with me in that “deathmobile” she call it.
At will, it did some 1,200 ponies with a slight push off of my right foot ……… neck breaking !

Yup I knew it, the first breech O-ring got damaged ………
Don’t think it’s from blow back, maybe from slapping the breech in when loading ?
Best I could measure it’s a 1mm x 3mm.
I’ll be ordering A90s ……
