People that can get cheap fill and have two tanks Cascading is the way to go, It seems to be a hassle but, a lot more fills .
Where I live it cost 30 to 38 bucks to fill a tank, That’s a great white from 3000 Psi to fill to 4500psi, I ask and the same charge would be to fill a tank from 2000psi to 3000psi. That would be about 60 to 76 dollars to fill the tanks?
I guess that’s why I am saving up for a Omega compressor,

Mike how many holes are drilled in your shroud? Lets see a picture also,
Testing on the 25 only, At 38 yards not much difference , Not even in the sound level….
At 48 yards my max, range it starts to make a difference , I got some ragged one hole groups with the holes uncovered ,,,
Ragged dime size groups with the holes covered with duck tape,,, Big difference in my shooting game….
So rule number # 1 do not cover the holes up… Working on the 22 now,,,,,

Thanks Donny for the info. I would have guessed the holes would have no impact on the accuracy because the pellet travels only about 5 inches in the shroud before exiting. The venting holes are themselves 4-5 inches away (behind) the barrel exit so by the time the pressure builds up and the venting occurs the pellet has likely left the shroud. This is my guess and an actual experimentation (or a computed model) can prove this assumption right or wrong.

And don’t realize there’s another reasons—-> pellet stability / increase accuracy
1. Reduce air turbulence in the baffles by reducing the pressure in the shroud.
2. Inline venting—reduce the pressure in the shroud sooner —- a cascading vent.
3. Yes I does reduce the vacuum at the exit point—so it would be quieter if standing further away.
If you tried a lot of different Mods/LDC on one AG they all have a different POI due to different baffle designed and through hole size. Before I vent I test the flight and see how stable the pellet is, this HB has minor wobble so I vented –>now none.
Three holes? I count six on my 25 , I am sure they do something good, Its just my sometimers has kicked in and I do not remember what.

I put 3 holes under mine also months ago. I think Hoot: is where I heard it from.
Zonk is right. The holes relief some of the air pressure in the shroud reducing the amount of air exiting the front and hence reducing the total sound.
You can easily cover these holes with a tape and see the difference it makes.

I will have to get with Earnest on that one too,
I did loosen all my barrels screws and tighten back down,, I also cleaned it again . I was thinking about buying a second barrel as the 25 just did not stack up there with my 22,
Maybe the shroud holes have nothing to do with it, Or I just got some good 25 JSB pellets , But I am stacking the pellets pretty tight at 48 yards off my stick,
I might just be getting a better shot, So many variables,,,
