Regulator

Is anyone using a regulator on thier bottle with positive results?….
What pressure is the regulator set at if you are using one?…
What is the advantage?
Thanks

Hmmm, me thinks the reg tanks may be more suited to plinking with .177 caliber pellets…

Is it possible to turn up the reg output? If your getting lots of shots then you may want to use a little more air and loose a few shots.

The same pellets and rifle grouped well with HPA yes?

Does it still have a tophat? I just realized I have no idea what a regged tank looks like on a AF rifle… 😉

Another can of worms you opened up eh? 😀

If the output could be turned up I wouldn’t know how….
Top Hat adjustment maybe?
I just took the gun apart and relubed the hammer…
Test in a few minutes to see if consistancy returns.
Yes, grouped laser like with HPA @ 2,600psi, same pellets.
Yes has top hat, co2 adapter with Condor High flow valve….
The hole in it is huge….
Yes another can of worms…Oh well…
I have a used AOA Condor coming Friday so it
will all start over again then.

Just for you synopsys.

18.1 grain pellet at 1000+fps with a regulated tank…

Your Condor has some punch, damn! 😯

Here is the next run.
I did the target and the chrony seperate
Target….Shabby and inconsistant POI….
Chrony numbers are all over the place at times….
Maybe it is time to clean and relube the hammer…..
I am not impressed…

This is the starting string

This is the finish on the same fill….

Sorry Buzz..Back to the Sharpie dots…I’ll post some finals with a real target….
These are just prelims and not worthy of symetrical circles…
Ooops..I for got the quarter too….
top left = 1.458″
middle = 1.288″
right = .956″
bottom left = 1.111″
middle = 1.598
right = DQ One shot went off the paper….

2,000psi regulated tank.
Finally get the Foster connection to fill the tank….
Now to run some numbers and shoot some groups….

😯 Your like the fucking energizer bunny of AF testing! 😯

Please don’t stop, gives me something interesting to read at work! 😆

Your giving out some great information. I’m lubing my hammer and pellets this weekend… 😉

LOL….Well I am not liking the constistancy at this point . It is shooting some 1″
groups at 65yds but there are some really low
fliers that keep sneaking in. Could be my hammer
and could be the valve…Just haven’t
isolated it yet. I’m gonna turn the PW up full and give it
all the hammer inertial I’ve got. The shot count is
phenomenal..
Although it take twice as much effort to refill this huge tank….
It is too dark to use the chrony and still to much daylight to
be inside so I will shoot some strings tonight…..

I’ve yet to understand AF’s business model. If I was a sales rep for them I’d be screaming bloody murder and banging my shoe on the table at every board meeting, day in and day out.

Is there another airgun manufacturer that so blatantly ignored the potential aftermarket revenue stream for their product?

Let’s see… a useless accessory bar, overpriced scopes, overpriced laser, overpriced bipod, overpriced…, well, I’m preaching to the choir.

On the other hand, how many would pay $250 for a stock tank with a regulator on it? I think I would, it’s a small uptick in price for a big gain.

I don’t claim to know the airgun biz, but by God, they’re clueless or they just don’t care.

looks like they would work but I really don’t know regulators very well…

Thanks for the info….Maybe something will come out soon…This high flow Condor tank is dumping some serious air….Something like 3 or 4 pump strokes per shot….I ordered a Talon tank to use for plinking….That should help I hope….

I’m not sure one is available to the public…

Some have adapted a paint ball reg and extended the length of the tank, IIRC they did a great job with shots per fill and fps spreads.
