Shooting Chrony lights, and no more incandescent bulbs
I just got online to order a light kit and found LED offerings from Shooting Chrony now too. I suppose this is in response to no more incandescent bulbs being made law ?? Has anyone tried the LED’s They are a lot more expensive, I could buy the old style for cheap at AD but not sure I can buy bulbs for them now let alone down the road.

I hate those POS Chrony´s. Mark that i use the word “hate” here. There´s either too much light or too little. The shot is too far from the sensors or too close. Every second reading is “error” – whatever you do – or the batteries are getting weak. Or the wind is blowing from the wrong direction, the ambient temp is too low/high, it´s either high – or low tide, the moon isn´t at it´s preferred angle or, by barring disaster , the damned thing is having PMS.

No. No,no,no – the best thing one can do with any Chrony is the same exact thing i did with Dr. Evil´s : Shoot it at the back of the head ! A well placed shot between the eyes accomplishes the same thing too.

The best thing you can do with a Shooting Chrony to minimize errors is to mount the gun and Chrony in alignment on a board or shooting rest. If you are not shooting over the center of the Chrony and perpendicular you may be getting bad readings rather than errors. The errors are often useful indicators that the gun is not lined up properly with the Chrony and not always light. I got my first F1 in the mid 1980s. I shot it and got my Gamma Master upgrade/trade-in replacement about five years ago. 🙂 I have spoken to those guys many times on the phone. You will notice that the light kit SC sells does not go across the entire length of the top strips for a very good reason.
My wireless chrony it 100%work used time 2hours per 1charged. My battery is lithium polymer batt for bbgun custom in extreme game. Battery lipo in my country about price 20$ . I sorry my English very very bad. 😳

Ride, I’ve been eyeing the deluxe stable table for awhile. Be curious how you like it. Main concerns are if a guy a little over 6 foot can get in/out of it and if the table is big enough. Yeah, plywood could be added, but at 62 lbs., already… might start sinking in the dirt!
The led strip lights minimized errors to almost zero. Very effective because it covers the entire angle uniformly with intense light. On the other hand, consumes more power.
Many folks are having alignment issues and blaming them on light so any lights won’t fix their errors. Then they blame the chrony in good light.

Here is a video on using Lowes puck lights. I only use one level of posts as one comment suggests. I even use them on overcast days outside. I must know half a dozen guys using these same lights very well but many use Velcro instead of magnets to hold them on but always pointed down.
This guy used stronger $5 puck lights and uses all posts.
