Q:

successful condor valve mod !!!DONE!!!even more fps

So far with the few tests that I’ve had a chance to do I think this mod will help those who have the first Gen valve and are tired of the inherent design flaws…what use to take a pw setting of 13,6 now only takes 9,2. 928 fps with the predators …this is using the soft crony and balistic gel and only a few test shots..I flattened out the ends of the valve return spring, and after lots of pumping and shooting then emptying modding and pumping some more I found that if you flatten the face of the delrin seal the valve is much easier to open under full fill pressure plus I did an o-ring mod to it just to quiet things down a bit.. ..I will post some diagrams of the mods in a few days…I can’t take credit for the individual mods but I’m just trying to help out those who have the crappy valves and not the money to replace them…

i got some slightly damaged EJ’s, accuracy sucks, but good for chrony….drop me a PM if you want a handfull (im not sure where they are so im not gonna go look unless your interested)

let me know

i can order but the shops arround her cater to the low power guys and dont carry heavy pellets and i would rather wait till i have enough money to place a large order insted of a small one where shipping is almost as much as the goods..

quote Subssonic:

i cant get kods or ejs here where i live…so it’ll have to wait till i can justify another order…might be sooner than later if the locals keep their guns coming my way…plus in two week im off to continue my testing for the W.S.P. so this month is gonna get busy.. im thinking that i might open the side porst a little more and pick up a lighter return srping any other ideas.. 🙄

Where do you live man? Can’t you just order some?

pow right in the kisser !

come on….dump some kodiak or EJ in there and do a proper 30 shot string….those numbers you posting are just teasers

and while your add it try remove your extra hammer weights and see what it will do….heavy hammer = lots of wear and tear….if you can do the same with more preload but a lighter hammer your better off

today to wife was at work and the mother-in-law took the boys to the cabin so it was time to play (I was supposed to be doing chores. 🙁 )
so i filled the tank to 3k added a .5″ spacer to my 94 gram hammer to bring it up to the condor length and I was suprised….

I only had time for a few shots so far…so good…time for a longer and slightly heavyer hammer…I think this can hit 1200-1300 easy

If someone would be kind enough to provide me with the overall length and weight of a condor hammer and spacer I will make a one piece hammer the correct length and weight as to provide every one with repeatable numbers thank you..and thanks again to cygnus and Walter

ok guys thanks for hanging in there with me…..here is the latest results of my mods minus a good shot string due to the valve is still being worked in…but here are some pics and descriptions..

here are all the parts laid out in order of assembly…
the spring retainer(bored out to just over the minor spring dia. and heavy counter sink on the inlet side), the spring (both ends ground flat), the new valve seal (more on that later), valve guide (o-ring mod and the seal surface was faced flat and the edge of the hole was left crisp so the seal has the most avail. flat surface to seal against), and the valve stem(polished and the holes were elongated twords the bottom of the stem)

a picture of the spring with flat ends so that others may understand better

I think im gonna set this up to be a low psi setup say 2500psi fill since I want to keep the versatility of this gun..If you have any questions just ask em

Things have been kinds crazy bout my place as of late….but my boys birthday has passed and the overtime has slowed down so come this Friday I should be getting my fill adaptor and chrony from pyramid so I can finish this project..plus I also scored a mill/lathe combo that I had to clean up my garage so that I had a place to use it…so needless to say I’ve been a little short on time but hopefully with the new toys ill be able to get this figured out a little quicker and get yall up to date and thanks again for all the support and suggestions..

Please keep us up to date on this valve mod looks very interesting to me!!

So I’m STILL waiting for my scuba to get outta hydro its in Lin behind the county and city fire departments scba tanks……and my fill adaptor is still not here but everything else is ready to go as soon as I can get filled….

Sounds like a plan Sam

When you get it all finished, maybe you could post a “start to finish” with pics.?
