That Pesky Breach O-ring!!!!
Took mine out today to check for nicks and to apply a thin layer of silicon grease. Now I can’t seem to get that little bitch back in the ring groove.
Do you guys have any tricks or tips to get it seated proper in its groove? I find there is no room to work and I can’t get a light on it like I would like to without another pair of hands.

All the breech o-rings are : The cal in millimeters x 1,5 mm.

One of the best lubes around, the Ville’s o-ring mix.
Evgeny has told me that the 2spare orings are for the fill probe, but I also used them for a breech oring. They’re a little thicker but they fit and seal better than stock oring. Before Hoot knew better he was using stored up cum from Villes visits to lube his orings. Every month or so I’ll put a dap of silicone grease on pellet probe and work the bolt a few times to spread it around oring.
4.5 = 4.5×1.5mm, 5.5 =5.5×1.5 and , you guessed it : 6.35 = 6.35×1.5mm.
Pushing a cleaning felt in just flush with far side of o-ring groove definitely makes o-ring placement much easier. Also avoids the (small) risk of running a dowel through the barrel.
Wow, it really does seat more easily after lubing with diver’s silicone. I had previously lubricated via just the pellet probe, but removing the o-ring and lubing it up over its entire surface definitely decreased seating force vs just lubing via the probe body. I was putting off pulling and examining my o-ring, but it was time. 1000 rounds in, I don’t see any visible nicks nor significant scuffs.
Don’t have the 0.25 breach o-ring dimensions, but on my 0.22 Vulcan the break o-ring matches my bag of n1.50×005.5 Buna n70 rings (from o-ring store)
I only have 2 rings in my kit that came with gun. They are for the probe I would say. Does anyone have more than 2 in their kit? Or did mine go missing

Since your bore is .25″/6.35mm I’d guess you need a 7.5 mm O.D. O-ring. With thickness of 1.5 or 2 mm.
Maybe someone will email Evengy or pop their .25 o-ring and measure it since only the .177 breech o-ring is listed in the manual. It would be a good idea to have a couple spares.
Well we all know now that you don’t want this stuff on your orings. But I will say it is very slippery stuff

Divers silicone is great. Many oils and solvents swell the rubber. Sounds like that’s the issue here.
I only use divers silicone grease on my o rings, never had a problem. :8:
Does the can say it is for rubber ❓
I’ve used Dry Slide for metal on metal but just silicone on rubber.
Some chemicals will cause o-rings to swell and made them no longer fit.
Lurker you could be on to something because I cleaned barrel then took a felt with dry slide and pulled it through. I cleaned up all my stiff and wanted to close bolt but it didn’t let me. The reason was o ring had swollen. That’s also the reason I can’t get it in. Dad was saying too it looks like its too big to fit. I told him I’d agree but I took it out of breach myself

OK Ville that’s what I ordered. Most of them have a 1.5 mm cross section
