Yes. The Ocelot is moderated and not that loud according to TGAG. It is $975. What does the Veles cost?

The Veles without the LDC is loud like any PCP. The shroud on the Ocelot takes a lot of the crack away but it is about as loud as a co2 pistol.
Both pistols shooting right at 12 fpe. Ocelot gets 40 shots, Veles gets 20.
Ocelot has gauge, Veles doesn’t.
You can shoot both one handed but much easier with Veles as it is much lighter even with the LDC.
Anyone know how to adjust the Veles trigger?

all PCPs without a moderator sound like a firearm and the shorter the barrel the louder they are.
What do you mean with I cannot compare the Mutant Shorty vs the Lelya?
I agree that you cannot compare 45 shots to 15 though.
The ocelot sounds like a firearm, specifically a .22 short. Pip at this point there is no sense comparing the Lelya to the Taipan.
On the picture it looks like the Mutant Shorty is even a bit shorter than the Lelya while having 2.5x shot capacity (+/-45 vs +/-15) :8:
Well I don’t know the Ocelot but the Veles without the moderator sounds like a .22 LR pistol.
The problem is that with the moderator it gets almost as long as the Lelya and if you consider that at this point anyway you need to shoot it two handed and that most probably you will mount also an optic I don’t see the point in not directly eventually getting a Lelya.

I thought Ed wasn’t shipping the separate moderators for the Veles to the USA? How is the noise of the Ocelot compare to the Lelya or Veles without the moderator?

How do the prices compare (Veles vs Ocelot)? We already investigated fitting the Ocelot with an LDC it seems viable according to Donny.

I got my Lelya and Veles on Thursday. Veles is .177 and mouse fart quiet. Lelya is in .22 and about as loud as my .22 R3. Accuracy is good on both. Shot count on Mutant and Ocelot are much better than Veles / Lelya. Mutant quieter than Lelya but not as accurate. Veles much quieter and lighter than Ocelot. There is no clear cut winner. They all have their pluses and minuses.

Are we seriously 144 posts into this thread and no one has shot a gun and give an impression or accuracy test. I am still waiting for my expired money order to be returned… The price bump leaves a bad taste but it is still just a $100. I bet not one extra deposit was taken as a result of the 1299 price vs if it had been 1399 at the time. I give 1500 or 1600 for the one I got used and consider it my favorite gun, shoot it more than all others combined so it was a bargain. I just hope they are the shooters I expect from ED !!

This concerns the production of barrels and the Made in Germany or Made in Korea debate….
I just had a look on the LW website and couldn’t find any statement saying that the production is made in Germany or exclusively in Germany (Please accept my apologies already in advance if I have overseen this statement :bow: )
BUT I completely agree that a product marked as Made In Germany should have been produced in Germany :8:
