Q:

The rogue will never die!!!

πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Here is the article I am mocking.
http://www.crosman.com/croswords/?p=2643

Its some guy probally getting paid to hunt with the rouge, I did not read in great detail. Shaggy they use some big words.
πŸ˜†

One thing I noticed they said the shot went straight through at 7o yards but I dont see a boolit hole. ❓

Now lets get to their claims.
β€œWe stalked in and I shot freehanded at 70 yards. The Nosler Ballistic Tip passed straight through, causing massive trauma on the way,”

You put a hole into it, I am assuming it hardly deformed.

” remarks on its affordability by those familiar with big bore airguns.”

What!!! I know haley products have had a shady past, I have read the multiple threads but you can get one of his guns putting out more fpe for half the price. And daqs are about this price right? With nice blueing and walnut stocks not some star wars gun.

“The introduction of the Benjamin Rogue .357 in 2011 sent shockwaves through the industry as the company established a beachhead in big bore territory. Targeting imported european air rifles starting at $2000, the Rogue’s electronic valve technology and $1300 price point not only got the attention of airgunners, but of its target market among traditional firearm hunters. After extensive field use by these hunting customers and reviewing their feedback, Benjamin has updated the rifle for 2012.”

You can get a imported eurpean rifle for 1000 bucks, a royale for 1400 and shoot the piss out of it, but you can pull a roach creeck and then its a little more πŸ˜†

And I dont think everyone wanting a 22 cal 30fpe light hunter/ plinker is looking for a storm trooper weapon big bore? Or is that just me?

” Heavy Medium / Heavy High and Light Medium / Light High”

Those are the dumbest power level labels I have ever heard. ??? Vegetarian meat burger….

“Where traditional big bore air rifles get one great shot,”

Bull shit its usually 2 with most big bores, and a solid follow up, some of the smaller ones up to 5 or more. Sam yang….

“Rogue set to Heavy (grain weight) High (power) gets three at a targeted 200 fpe. Set to Heavy Medium, this increases to 7 great shots at 180 fpe.
When the shooter goes with a lightweight bullet (135 grains or less) set to high power they can expect four shots at a targeted 176 fpe. Set to Light Medium, the shot count goes up to 12 with 148 fpe.
More reliability, more consistency. And more shots than big bore airguns at any price level.”

Gamo.

β€œThe Rogue has been the first big bore gun for many of its owners and we wanted to enable the option of a handpump for those folks who may not want to invest in a tank or don’t have an easy way to get a tank filled,”

There is actually a famous pirate from hawaii who has taken pigs and mongoose alike with new to the market technology big bores filled by….A HAND PUMP!

Then they have this video at the bottom. It is titled benjamin rogue worlds most powerful production rifle.

The rogue is whatever, but they are becoming like gamo with this marketing. Honestly I am used to hyped velocity figures but that article is full of blatant lies.

😑 And powder burner guys are not gonna be happy when they see what else is out there for there 1300 dollars.

I should have my 308 back from Jack next week by the way πŸ˜€

Been arguing with the guy on YOUTUBE who put up the video. he sais he isn’t a rep for Crosman NOR sponsored by them.

Funny that i keep hearing from multiple parties that they are NOT sponsored or work for Crosman but they sure as hell push Crosman products. You know, kinda like that professionally made VIDEO. That video wasn’t free to make nor was that hunt free to go on….lol!

These Crosman guys are getting funnier and funnier. they find and sponsor all these writers and hunters to push their Rogue but non of the writers and hunters claim any affiliation with Crosman.

Simply can no longer support Crosman or their products. Might just sell my CROSMODS Disco………… πŸ‘Ώ

I wonder if Crosman pays for the advertising posts on the Yellow… πŸ˜•

The hype and the sales whores are at it again. I get worked up because it’s my nature to get worked up when treated with contempt. Especially by a company I used to have some respect for and one whose products I have bought and enjoyed. The contempt from the sales whore is galling as well because he spews out a simple phrase and sheeple follow it.

Do I have to drive a yugo to know it was a failure? Do I have to fly a plane thats’ wings are prone to fall off to know it’s not a good plane? No, but I have to shoot a gun that’s crap to have an opinion! Can’t rely on anyone else! Customers and long time friends are not to be trusted! Only sales whores that get free samples and paid trips are to be trusted!

I like the denial that this was a canned hunt. Really? Just how many Rogue 2s have been sold? Crosman’s website as of a few minutes ago doesn’t say shit about epic 2.0 or a new mag and it still recommends against handpump filling. I was just looking the other day to see if version 2 was for sale and could find no mention. But now, Crosman posts on their page a story about a record setting hunt with the Rogue and we’re supposed to believe it was just some fellow who saved up and finally got the hunt of a lifetime and had an awesome airgun from Crosman. Got it.

I suppose if some chrony strings show up that validate the performance of epic 2.0, I’ll mellow about the gun but not about the hype and desdain Crosman has shown towards us.

I will be surprised though as real data was pretty much stonewalled for the life of Rogue 1.0. Sales whore was always going to report something “soon” but never quite got around to it. Shocker.

quote benneeb0y:

Rogue still sucks.

way to get worked up there πŸ˜†

I see you calling for groups tof, they arent happy with you.

What if you get a paid fence hunt here in the states?

lol.

And ya it was gut shot tof.
Or at least the exit wound was low gut, I know bullets can veer but I dont see a good shot going that far south.

lol
He had to be at high elevation on it.

Here I outlined it for those who are blind as a bat.

Rogue still sucks.

Well said RC. the MRODS are cool in 25 but they’ve got no real shot count. RJ Porter is only getting 8 accurate shots and 16 total. They are decent guns though for the money.

But yeah, that request was just as you called it, “my war on the Rogue2’s ability to group and to shut up or PUT UP”. I also started some trouble over on the YOUTUBE channel. I told them to not forget about the Korean guns and the power that they make..lol. They claim the Rogue is the MOST POWERFUL/ACCURATE PRODUCTION big bore made today.

Noslers bullets in that video (the video of the fully dressed impala or reed buck or whatever!) was not impressive. It was impressive to him cause i guess he had never seen a big bore airgun perform. Shooting a RIB and some lung tissue can be done by most big bore airguns cause, well, ITS SOFT TISSUE. So there is nothing hard there to stop the bullet. But yeah, double lunging a animal with a big bore airgun will get the job done for sure. You just might have to track a lil bit. That hardcast bullet at 800 fps

They also need to get a clue and stop hiring PAID SPOKESMEN to do HYPE VIDEOS.

Also, did anybody ever figure out that 200 FPE translates to the 145 gr. Nosler bullet traveling 790 FPS! πŸ˜• πŸ˜₯ WOW! And that’s what you shoot African big game with? REALLY!?

I also VOTE that from here on out, because Crosman and Gamo promote the killing of game with low powered airguns, NO ONE HERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE WILL EVER ARGUE THAT KILLING A DEER/HOG WITH A 20 cal or 22 cal or 25 cal OR 177 cal is unethical. Crosman and Gamo has shown……..IT CAN BE DONE!!….lol

Tof,

You request on the Yellow Forum for shots on paper was the first salvo in the Rouge2 war.

Either they do this with numerous posters and print shot strings at various levels or Air Gunners will walk away once more, with the exception of loyal Crosman fans, read that suckers.

Crosman lost so much credibility with the Air Gun world with the first Rouge, they need to be honest and quit showing animals with corn still in their mouths and start printing groups to regain some credibility.

Three shots at 200 FPE. I can get that total FPE in one shot with my Ranger 45. It may not have a magazine, but being as it produces the power the first shot, I don’t need a magazine.

And here is an example of how it has affected their sales, and I am just one, but I would wager I am not the only example.

I purchased a Tyerex stock for a MRod a while back, I had been toying with the idea of getting a MRod and building one.

In the end I turned the stock and made a little cash, and the reason is I just do not trust Crosman products.

Yes MRod 25’s are shooting pretty good, but I will not invest in a company that misguides its customers to make a fast buck as Crosman does.

Regards,

Roachcreek

So why the fuck do they keep advertising all their great accomplishments with the Rogue on 2 airgun forums when the Rogue is for PB guys ONLY! or at least its MARKETED towards PB guys….lol.

Yeah, all our small bore airguns are for YOU Forum guys but the Rogue is a real mans gun. More like the Rogue is for PAID SPOKESMEN…lol

The other things is still…………..WERE ARE THE PICS OF THE FUCKING GROUPS from this improved shoulder cannon? Anyone of our big bore airguns can kills a GEMSBOK, but HOW DO THEY FUCKIN SHOOT?! Amazing that Crosman comes out with a new gun and the first thing they show you is that it can kill a deer, hog, impala, reedbuck…etc..etc..etc. WHOOPTY DO, Eric Hendersons been killing big game with airguns for what……..20 YEARS NOW! Gary Barnes have killed some to with his guns…sooooooooo?! The killing ability of the modern day big bore NO LONGER COMES AS A SURPRISE. But an accurate one DOES. LETS SEE MORE GROUPS….LETS SEE MORE GROUPS….LETS SEE MORE GROUPS and SHOT STRINGS TOO….lol

Oh yeah, was that IMPALA on twitter gut shot?

Aweeeee fuck it, i could go on for days about the Rogue.

not to sound unrealistic(but it is), but me thinks if they subbed out barrel work to lw and did something like haley did with his .257, reworked the electronics, trigger, crappy shroud….

oh, fuck it.

nevermind, that much labor wouldnt even be outsourced to zimbabwe! πŸ™„

I don’t own one of these POS rifles so I don’t have any cred when it comes to pointing out the one visible shot sucks and the advertised shot counts are still average at best…

I’m sure some whore who has actually handled the gun can set me straight on how much better 4 176FPE shots from a crosman are compared to my .32…

What a bunch of dick heads, they think PB guys are morons and will buy this shit like lemonade on a hot summer day. We’re the only PB guys who count and are remotely in the market or trusted for answers and they treat us like shit.

200 fpe! Yipee! Fuck, Hoot unzips to more than 200 fpe and he’s a little guy around these parts (at least that’s what RS and Shaggy tell me…). πŸ™‚

Yeah Crosman wizards, nobdy used low power before because your max shot count setting was so fucking weak a decent .25 put it to shame!

Rogue 2.0 remains a BS hype POS. The only way they can sell them is to catch a newbie unawares. Any airgunner would only buy the crap stick if he needed a fence post and some whore writer to drive it into the ground…

re-entitle—

the rogue will never kill…
