The TERYX stock is available again!!
Well, just like the title says, they’re back. As soon as I get mine I’ll post up some pics and check out fitment. Should be pretty sweet!!

A few more pics. I painted the remaining parts yesterday. I started to reassemble today, but ran into a few snags… I definitely underestimated the tolerances of a few parts!! In the second pic, you can see the area behind the LDC that I had to sand down because it was too tight w/the Duracoat… Oh well. It’s not bare metal, and it’s only a field gun. A pest isn’t going to care if one spot is sanded a bit!

I’ll have more pics next weekend when I (hopefully) shoot some rounds over the chrony, tune and sight her in. Whether I am able to shoot due to weather next week or not, I’ll have pics of the rifle fully assembled and scoped!
Dip update! I just got the parts back today. I’ve got my aerosol Duracoat in OD Green, but It’s too windy outside, not quite warm enough, and I’m definitely not spraying inside the house!! Anyhoo, Here’s a few pics of some of the parts. Sorry for the shitty pics, cell phone.

The remaining parts that are going to get the duracoat are:
LDC
Barrel Band
Barrel Shroud
Breech
Scope Rings
Rear End Cap
Misc Stock Parts
As soon as I get a warm, calm weekend, I’ll spray those parts and I’ll get the pics up!!
I definitely mailed it off to get dipped. But I am duracoating it myself…..
You dip it yourself, or did you send the parts off?
I have a pic of my parts from the dipper, now I just have to wait for Wednesday to pay for the parts, and they’ll be on their way home!! It’s time to get some aerosol duracoat!!! I’ll post pics when she’s all painted up, and finally together!!!! FINALLY! I can very nearly close the door on this build! It’s been a long road, but patience has paid off!!
Thanks for that!!
This should be close. Not quite the same config, but weight’s w/ 4-16 X 40 CP. Not a lot of weight change, but the balance change was very way better.

To be honest, I’m not sure- I’ve never held a stock Mrod… I built this from parts.
I wish I could find some Ti tubing that matches the specs for the Mrod’s tube…
This rifle is a bit on the heavy side, but not un-manageable. I’ve carried far heavier!! But I like heavier rifles. The difference in weight between the chassis (bare) and a Mrod Gen1 factory stock is minor- but the balance is better. The rifle “carries” better, so it feels lighter. I did put it in a Gen1 wood stock I have, but the comparison would still be different, because it’s not the same weight. The balance of the rifle is also subjective. I like the way the chassis feels/weighs as I built it. A person could get a lighter rifle just by using a different stock, scope, not having an extra LDC on top of the factory one, etc.
That wasn’t at all helpful, was it Dman?
This one is of the spacer for the barrel band- much better! No play in the barrel shroud now!

I still have to drill the two holes for the EBR handguard, and of course the dip and Cerakote. I should be able to get to it after the new year.
hey caboose what does that weigh compared to a factory mrod?
Here’s a few more pictures. Still waiting to dip it, school kinda got in the way. I did pretty well for not being in school for 16 years! But I digress. Here’s some more pics assembled:

RWS 54 would be really cool!!!
there is more to the story but what for?
I want to focus on the NOW and the future.
Gen2 is being worked on now- I hope to see a sample stock next week, (holding breath – turning blue) and I also want to put out a stock to fit the Hatsan at44 and just as of today –
1 serious player- FX Royale 400?? That could be very cool-
There are no plans to keep the platform stuck in 2009 mode- I want to bring them up to date with current rifles and ask folks for their input as to what and which gun I should be looking at next.
I want to do a RWS 54, also a FWB 301s, along with various other more popular PCP guns….
thank you all
Man, thanks for that!! It’s nice to be able to trace the history of things sometimes!
It was just as I was getting into the hobby and I had no idea who he was. He advised me he was a well known engineer and had several patents to his name, but had grown disenchanted with the hobby and was moving on to a different location and a new life. The modified Marauder he sent me had a titanium air cylinder, a modified air valve, and his latest frame.
After I received it, the gun lost a small bit of air over a few day, I was totally ignorant about such things, and sold it. This forum back then was all Air Force products, and I didn’t know what to ask, or who to ask about it.
Shortly after I received my gun, Teryx sold his design to another machinist, disappeared forever. The Teryx sales were kind of off and on for awhile, a bit expensive back then, around $350 for the kit. Bullpups were not being discussed at that time and the Teryx aluminum stock was cutting edge stuff. Then the stock was no longer made and just kind of disappeared from the market.
Does anyone know who Teryx really was??? I’ve always been curious about that. This was about six, perhaps seven, years ago, and I’ve regretted selling that Marauder ever since.
Hoot:
The TERYX was the brainchild of a High Tech Bow Maker, DAS Bows
http://search.3riversarchery.com/buy/bows/bows/das-bows
He later gave the patent to a fellow Bowhunter and Airgun hunter from Montana, I spoke to the guy for years on archery and airgun forums, and finally had the pleasure to meet him this year when he was here for a hunting trip.
We spoke about the TERYX when he was than and rekindle the flame to start getting them out to the public again, tested the forums for interest, unfortunatly he didn’t have the resources or time to make the TERYX on a big scale production,
so he passed on the all thing to a professional machinist with lost of resources, …and that is now, with the TERYX coming out big time,…quite a Journey 😀 😀
Lots of details and info on the GTA forum

No numbers yet- but the spring semester is finally over, so I’ll have some soon! I’ve just put the rifle together, so now begins the tuning phase! Here’s some horrible pics from a cell phone. I know, I know, I need a regular camera… I’m working on it!
