Well, just like the title says, they’re back. As soon as I get mine I’ll post up some pics and check out fitment. Should be pretty sweet!!

No no Sharpsnot…that statement would indicate you are bigoted against Bigotry…which is a bigoted remark, which must be made by a bigot. Therefore, YOU are the bigot!
I, on the other hand, am totally unbigoted by virtue of the fact that I don’t like anyone! By definition, that would make me a “Curmudgeon”…even though I have no ancestry, or affiliation, with Curmudgia…which is akin to Black Americans referencing themselves as “African-American” even though they have no legal, or current birth ties, to the continent of Africa.
Therefore, the question falls to Caboose…is Ceracoat a genuine solution, or a mere “cover-up”?
Kindest regards,

What I meant was all black..
And I think he agrees. So that makes you the bigot then hoot!
Bigot! ,,,,, :butkick:

Because it’s not done yet. I’m dipping and Cerakoting it, I’m also going to add an EBR handguard.
Looks cool. But, why isn’t it black??
Well, technically they’re the same, as far as I know- it’s the same CNC program. Perhaps minute changes here and there. Either way- still totally worth it!! I love this stock! It’s definitely one rifle I won’t part with!!
Wow~ An original Teryx!
The man was ahead of his time.
Hoot:
Nicely appointed.
That brings back memories….

I know… Most people can’t resist those sweet, sweet black curves!!!
I sure like your butt!!!

Well, I couldn’t wait. I have to post something. They’re craptastic cell phone pics. But I’ll be posting better one’s this weekend!!! If you happen to notice, don’t mind the hack-job I did on the Ergo grip… I was in a rush, and honestly, I don’t care too much about the grip- it does it’s job well!! I don’t care about it’s looks!
I changed my mind on the dip scheme, I’m going with “Lupus” camo pattern… Here’s an example:

Oh- I wanted to confirm, that the metal and plastic trigger guards I have from crosman are a no-go. Too short. They’re a little wide too, but if the trigger guard was long enough, that would have been easily fixed. The screw holes are also off. Too bad. I would have liked a metal trigger guard for cheap. 👿
Howdy Hoot!! Not sure who TERYX was, or where/what “TERYX” came from. Okay, here’s how it went: IN THE BEGINNING, the originator for the stock said: “Let there be aluminium chassis!” and it was good.
But seriously, the original designer wanted a chassis, but needed $$$ backing to have them made. As we all know, it’s cheaper in the long run to have bunch made instead of a one-off. He finally got his prototype made, and there was much interest. So he struck a deal with a machinist for these. From all the internet traffic, it just got too expensive for him to keep going w/the chassis idea, and he sold it off. Having a machinist fuck you over doesn’t help either… At least, that’s what I gathered from all the forum traffic. The last owner ran into the same problem- high cost of production and not enough time to dedicate to the chassis business. Customers were getting tired of waiting so long for their chassis too. I’ve been talking to the new owner AlanB, on the Mrod forum and he’s good to go. He has a lot of great ideas and he wants to eventually expand into other rifles and stocks as well. Currently, he’s brought back the gen1 chassis (I’VE GOT THE FIRST!!!!) and he is furiously working on getting the gen2 to the masses. After that, stock adapters for the current chassis (for fitment of all kinds of stocks). He wants you guys (the customers) to have as many choices as possible. High up there is a folding option. You’ll have to wait to see what else he has in store though!! I’m not going to give away all the secrets!!! 😈 😈 😈
I actually owned the last stock Teryx made! He made one for himself, with prototype valve and titanium cylinder, and I had sent him my Marauder to work on, so he made the same setup for me. It was a strange deal and I was absolutely unschooled in air guns.
It was just as I was getting into the hobby and I had no idea who he was. He advised me he was a well known engineer and had several patents to his name, but had grown disenchanted with the hobby and was moving on to a different location and a new life. The modified Marauder he sent me had a titanium air cylinder, a modified air valve, and his latest frame.
After I received it, the gun lost a small bit of air over a few day, I was totally ignorant about such things, and sold it. This forum back then was all Air Force products, and I didn’t know what to ask, or who to ask about it.
Shortly after I received my gun, Teryx sold his design to another machinist, disappeared forever. The Teryx sales were kind of off and on for awhile, a bit expensive back then, around $350 for the kit. Bullpups were not being discussed at that time and the Teryx aluminum stock was cutting edge stuff. Then the stock was no longer made and just kind of disappeared from the market.
Does anyone know who Teryx really was??? I’ve always been curious about that. This was about six, perhaps seven, years ago, and I’ve regretted selling that Marauder ever since.

Probably an ill-conceived cover-up. However, I can get it done relatively cheap, and it’ll last longer than spray paint.
