Anyone check the inside of their shroud baffles to see if there is an O ring hung up in there?

I’m the same way Donny and I’m not on your quiet mission. I just want the best accuracy the gun can give and know how it got there and how to get it back when it goes away. None of that comes from. ” Just shoot it as some say ” I learned last evening on the R3 rubber o-ring on the transfer port to build it upside down with the o-ring in the breech and slide a siliconed up valve body across it and into position rather than the other way I have been building the metal washer guns. Learn fron doing and learn fron help. Do nothing, learn nothing.
In my mission to get my gun to sound like that of the one hand clap, I’ve hit road blocks left and right but I’ve learned a lot about the gun and the parts. No frustrations just welcoming challenges. It also shows how valuable this forum is and its members. People have contacted me and offered parts. This morning’s update. I left the breech on the kitchen counter last night while trying to search for tools to remove the last stripped screw. I couldn’t find anything and forgot about it being on the counter. My dad was cooking last night when I told him about it and didn’t have time to take a look. This morning I came down to the kitchen and saw the screw had been removed 🙂 Nice having a retired engineer living with you at times hahaha.

That’s why I haven’t tuned or done anything other than redo my stock (and that was because it had a crack in it)
I didn’t want to run into a problem like your having because getting parts for something I broke by accident would take some time to get.

Sorry Ive been out all day… I could have saved you loads of time and stress.. the toilet paper was moving due to your breech o ring missing not your brass transfer port seal.. did it to mine when I degassed it the first time.. gets very loud to fire too.. 😯
Is there suppose to be an o-ring inside this spot? I see a ledge going all around in there but empty. Assman pointed this out because his is empty as well
I took a rest but couldn’t resist not trying to get the 3 stripped screws out. After a sweaty battle, I was able to get a small flat screw driver and unscrewed the ones in the tower that is holding the barrel down into the air tube. Tried the same method with the breech screw but that didn’t work but I am not worried about that one. I can find a way tomorrow to take that one out. The other two I was worried about because it was very narrow and deep.

Another trick is (besides the Torx):
If you have some non-metric allen wrenches that are extras you might be able to file down the size just over the metric one that fits in the bolt head, gently tap it into the stripped out head and loosen it from there.
I too have found the bolts on the Edgun are not only soft but the allen sockets feel too big for any metric allen wrench I can find. Someone said the best thing to do is swap everything out with high end screws. Costly and time consuming but better than buggering up heads.
Again, my iPad is stoping this shit before it posts the last one should have gone up like two hours ago.
Anyhow, if you’ve got a t10 torx. it should bite enought to get the stripped headed bolt out. If not, try the next size up. I’m a Harley mechanic by trade and I’ve never had to drill an Allen bolt unless the head was snapped off. But again, I’ve got a hand impact and I’m guessing that not in the average tool box. If you can’t get it with that, find the smaller easy out or extracted you can. They have the at Walmart and parts stores a Home Depot. Use the smallest drill it right through the center. Hopefully its small enough that it doesn’t take the head off. To way you I till have lots of meat to sink that shaft into when you get to that part. An easy out looks like a kind of screw or dril bit with a reverse spiral. You drill the hole then hamer the easy out into the whole and twist counter clockwise.
Another option, I learned from the mrod guys. Find thick plastic tubing that is close to right od and then melt, or sand it down and make a sort of pipe. You can either run it as a pipe from the inside of the valve body to the inside of the breach, or try and make it imto s sealing washer. The mrod has a brass tube with quad seals on each end and the guys replace the whole thing with ice maker tubing. No seals on either end. I not sure if the just make sure each end is perfectly true or if its inserted into the transfe port. If you get both ends square, and make it just a little bit longer that the installed hight, it will have a little bit of compression. You could also try taping it , your stock sealing washer, with the black teflon tape from home-depot and see if that is enough of a stop gap. Just make sure you geteverything away from the Id. Just more food for thought. Do you have the number 9 drill bit he said you needed to make the Id right.? I’m interested in your repair. I saw this as a future issue from the first time I saw it back around 12-26, but I was assured it hadn’t been an issue yet.
I see that you have had the barrel apart. Is there any other orings that seal the barrel to the breach? I’m trying to picture it in my head, and I keep thinking there needs to be an Oring on the outside diameter of the barell. Between it and the breach.

Donny, I was able to find a O-ring that is close on size at a local hardware store I’m going to try, I also have 100 1.5x6mm on the way. I read that is the size needed, I will send you some, but you may not want to wait that long.
Can I take the barrel and breech off without degassing to change that O ring?
