Toilet paper test
Does this mean I have a leak where the gold washer (breech/valve) is?

Enjoy the show man, I am taking a break for the rest of the night.
Donny this just gets better and better :18:   :18:  :18:
You ready to adjust that regulator yet
Damn you Syn! I torqued it just a little bit more for you and it stripped the screw in that unit that holds the barrel. I was still able to put the gun back together but still no cigar. I’ll just wait for the o-rings to arrive. in the mean time, gotta find a way to get this stripped screw out. Damn and i thought Btango was the only genius that could strip these screws lol. I’ve actually stripped one other screw, and that’s the one on the breech. These screws are darn soft.
Maybe you didn’t torque it enough? :suprisedn: :biggrinn:
You are correct Brant, leave it as is. But then again, I’ve had this puff of air before.
Just saying….
Hoot:
Fuck man…I about choked on my dinner reading this!
Donny, I got to hand it to you man…despite your issues you have a positive outlook on things. Some guys would be pissed off about having theses issues after spending the hard earned cash on a Ed. I fixed my issue I had with the screws…Phil’s suggestion about drilling out just the head of the screw worked perfect! I ordered some screws from the “Bolt Depot” but in the meantime I have some M4X7’s I bought from Lowes holding her together(I found them when I went to get that plug). They’re the round head ones so they don’t fit flush but they don’t interfere with the stock either. When I pulled mine apart I noticed I have a o-ring not the brass one. After I assembled her back together I did the TP test to see…thankfully no poof from the breech :biggrinn:
Anyways hope the teflon ring works out for you!
My .25 Standard shoots well at 915 fps and has a good looking string with no puff and you guys just convinced me never to take it apart if I don’t have to. 😯

If someone can source a hard plastic version of the brass ring that would certainly be something i’d replace mine with! :hoot:

When I reassemble I lay the action on the table, put the brass washer in place and slide the airtube/regulator assembly into place. I check to see if it’s in the right spot by lightly trying to slide the airtube back to front. You should be able to feel it locked in. I then squeeze everything together and start replacing the screws.

Sorry Syn, missed your comment. I still have it. Cleaned it and placed it back but that was the one that blew the toilet paper off the gun. I don’t torque any of my screws hard. I screw down until I feel a little resistance then just a hair more of a turn.
What happened to the original???????
If you crushed it, for god’s sake don’t torque everything so tight! :confusedn:
I got an idea.. lets ask ed to make this his first video.. how to properly torque the golden ring
One more time…
