Toilet paper test

Does this mean I have a leak where the gold washer (breech/valve) is?

results: It blew the toilet paper off

I guess I have to contact Tony for a replacement piece.

I´m willing to bet it´s no custom – just a common millimeter ring. Give me the dimensions (OD,ID and thickness) and i´ll grab a pocketfull of Cu-rings with me from the work. Won´t get blown thru the hole and will seal far better than a Brass ring. Why, in the name of hell, use Brass for sealing that part ? Beats me …

Brass won´t indeed compress, not before the aluminium seat will anyway.

Are you drunk ?? A Cu ring won´t compress ?? Come on … Of course it will – once. And almost as well once again if you “glow” it.

What ?? EdGun “original” or one from a Hardware Store ?? Those cost maybe 50 cents a piece over here.

Do you think a harder o ring or maybe a delrin/nylon washer would be better suited than a brass ring with nothing but torque pressure from the breech screws would work better? How much torque is needed? Also given the tendency for the screws to get too tight and strip out the heads it would seem that brass ring eventually leads to more issues. Of course I know very little about the Edgun.
