Vortex Viper 2.5-10×32 FFP – perfect scope for Lelya?
I’m still searching for perfect Lelya scope below $1000……
Any thoughts about this one? Seems to be PERFECT!

Keiser… Iit’s better indeed. But still not compact. However it’s an awesome scope and I’m considering it for my short Matador instead of SS 10×42 (classic, not side focus).
Don, it’s a dream setup! If you want to sell the scope one day… let me know. New is out of $$$ for me but used one, hmmm π
Saw this post mentioning the March 1x 10X and thought I’d throw a photo of mine up here with that scope on it. It also wears a Sight Mark red dot laser in front of the March scope.

Yes, that March is #1 of course! But…. $$$
Anyway, I think the PST 2.5-10 looks MUCH better on new Lelya, first of all the rail is longer but also it looks MUCH more ballanced with thick off-center moderator. So I still consider trying it again π
I thought about that scope but I ended up putting the Vortex 2.5-10X32 EBR-1 MOA on my Lelya . I think because Ed extended the rail it allows for the use of a little longer scope. For my use the 4x is jut not enough magnification
The ultimate Lelya scope in my opinion would be this one

Sooo… my quest for perfect Lelya scope continues. For me aesthetics of the whole setup is almost as important as the performance. You may argue of course but if I really like what I shoot I think my scores go up. I just enjoy it more and that helps for sure. So since I really dig the look of 1-4x class of tactical scopes on my Lelya I tried this time SWFA SS 1-4×24 Classic with MilQuad reticle:

I just mounted it and zeroed (indoor) during weekend. Weather is awfull now here (raining all the time) so no setup pics, sorry. But I have some initial thoughts:
1. The magnigication range of 1-4x is good for me for up to 50 yards for general shooting. Glass is awesome (considerably more contrast vs. Bushnell AR I used to have) and I can see holes in my target at 25m easily (indoor). I can comfortably shoot with glasses, gives MUCH crisper view than just adjusting diopters on the scope. No idea why but it is really MUCH better. Of course 1-6 would be better and 1-8 would be awesome, but my wallet is still too thin for March 1-8×24.
2. the Mil-Quad reticle is great! AWESOME, SUPERB & GREAT! Most 1-4x scopes have either thick reticles, or just 2-3 bullet drop refference points or (worst case) some sort of combat-style donut-whatever reticles which are not good for airgunning at all. Except some March, Vortex Razor, IOR and Leupold tactical 1-6x or 1-8x (or even 1-10x) scopes BUT we’re talking $1500-$5000 scopes here, not $399.
3. with help of ChairGun app I created this reticle help below. I decided to keep the 45cm/18″ target size for range estimation, which is good as it corresponds with original long-distance range marks on the reticle. And it’s also average size of a crow / ground squirrel, so I think some of you might appreciate this refference for range estimation? Don’t know but probably it’d work.
4. turrets tracking is just perfect, awesome, best in class!
5. it’s quite easy to re-focus to airgun ranges. The front ring with ‘SWFA SS1-4×24’ marking unscrews (it’s quite tight) and it moves the whole objective unit forward. Half turn sets the parallax to 50m and 3/4 turn sets it to 35m. Fix it with front Butler Creek flip-up cover and you’re done. It’s really easy as it sounds, takes 30 seconds and you’re done! Much easier than what I had to do with Vortex Crossfire 2-7×32 for my other airgun (HW30s). And believe me, at 25m (let alone 15m) and at 4x mag the difference is crispness and focus is MASSIVE. At 50m the difference is not so big, but still is. And I don’t shoot beyond 50m with Lelya anyway… usually π
6. And this is new background on my iPhone… handy when shooting in the field:
More thoughts and some pics very soon. Just give me couple of days…
No shit !
I wouldn’t even worry about it, there is no Lelya. It’s existence is only rumor
Yes, you are right. the line is 0.2 thick. I thought it’s same as my SS 10×42 that line is 0.05.
Assuming the 1-4 is identical then yes… Remember these were originally made for the AR15 platform shooting 100-500m
SWFA SS 1-4×24 Tactical 30mm Riflescope is only 10.2″ long. Is good for Lelya? Is the reticle thick?
I had this same scope mounted on the Lelya but it was very heavy and the reticle was a tad thick at 6x
Thank you. That is what I was guessing.
It will focus down to 50m only however at 1x you’ll be fine

If Leupold would offer their 3-9X33 EFR with Mil-Dot without having to go thru the custom shop I would go that route.
That one is a good ,compact and light scope with very nice glass. ItΒ΄s like it was made for Bullpups.
