I’m still searching for perfect Lelya scope below $1000……
Any thoughts about this one? Seems to be PERFECT!

I had this same scope mounted on the Lelya but it was very heavy and the reticle was a tad thick at 6x
The problem with a lot of the small scopes offered is comes from the intended use of said scopes. Most of the 24MM objective scopes on the market are intended for human sized targets where speed is the most important factor. Often these scopes are offered with reticles that are thick and they are not suited for airguns and small critters critters.
The SWFA 1-6 is on sale for $750 for Black Friday. I am tempted to get one for this price, but I am not sure if the parallax can be adjusted and if I would like have a fixed parallax scope.
I was currently running the SWFA 1-6 and found that the reticle was thick and scope was heavy. So weight had to come down for sure and wanting to bring the scooe as close as possible to barrel was another must. I tried a $49 hawke x4, tossed that out after a few hunts. I found that I had the Leupold 3×9 duplex and after yesterday’s outing I really liked it. Just wish it had a few mildots so I’ll be looking for another reticle.
sorry. I meant this one.

If money is not an issue, that is a nice link to check:

It’s 258mm which is 10.2″, the 18.68″ is obvious recalculation mistake. It’s a very compact scope, my dream scope for sure! But the prices point is a bit too high for me at this time… $2.500 (!)
Romeo,
You mentioned the 1-8×24 March scope but something doesn’t seem right? They list it as being 18.69″ long and 22.6 oz non illuminated. If in fact this is the case (though I think it’s a miss print) one would be better off with the 3-24×42 as it is only 12.3″ long and 22.6 oz in weight, and if I remember right the price difference wasn’t much between the two either.
I think I need to go back and check that site out again- no doubt a miss print
I agree that a small compact scope for the lelya would complement the size and balance out very well but that March 3-24×52 FFP sure would be the perfect scope for the matador or cricket, that is except for the price of course!

Its got to be a miss print as I suggested. Total length of 258mm doesn’t equal 18.69″ but rather 10.14″ and why would non illuminated weigh more than the illuminated model? The 10″ would work out great, I think, for the leyla. Perhaps a tad heavier than I would like but 3 or 4 oz would be hard to detect. BUT the PRICE. Oh well, one can dream can’t he.
Thanks for sharing the pics and details on the vortex scope. The only scope I have found that meets all of my requirements is the March 1-8×24 FFP. Now I just have to decide if I want to save up and spend that much money.
I’m also considering simple 1.5-5 Leupold (1″ or 30mm) or better SWFA SS 1-6×24 and refocusing it to 50m distance. I just refocused Vortex Crossfire II 2-7×32 @ 35m for my other airgun (HW30s) and it’s easy job. I know that refocusing SS 1-6×26 (almost $1k) sounds extreme, but I’m not aware of ANY 1-6×24 scope with side focus and fine reticle under 1k. If you know about such a scope – please let me know!
Well, I’m going to try Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8×32 BDC Side Focus (starts @ 20m). It’s not FFP but it’s shorter and lighter than 2.5-10. And also reasonably priced ($360).
I don’t know about the DB HP. I really don’t like the reticle for AG use and even though it’s tad shorter, the eye relief is longer so you might have the same odd mounting position. Only good thing about it compared to the PST is price. Give us a review if you decide on the DB.
Which one exactly?
very nice scope. but I like 30 mm tube better.
Have you thinking about ATN x-sight?

How is the focus at 6x for up close? Can you see something at 10 yards?
