vulcan or wildcat ?
I have been saving for a while and i am getting close to the money i need for new gun, I have an Armada 22cal and after several mods and new barrel it shoots a little smaller than 1/2 groups at 55 yards with a 30 shot string 1005 to 985 fps on crony with JSB 14.35gr and 960 to 876 30 shot string with JSB18.13gr and with same 1/2 groups , I got this gun for a good price new in box and was overcome by the looks , ( matched my AR ) but as the saying goes judging a book by it’s cover, over all i like it but i want something with a little more range and lighter , this thing is heavy and to off hand shoot not good, My choices are down to two guns , The wildcat 25 or the vulcan 25, Please help i can only buy one more gun and it has taken me a long time to save this much for one . You do half inch at 100 yards? What pellet and speed is this?

I got my gun Mon , mounted scope and charged it up , 7 shots and was zeroed in at 50 yards, several dime shot groups with no flyers and moved out to 100 yards , mounted in a lead sled it shoots less than 3/8 in groups with most going through the same hole at 50 yards every time and 1/2 in at 100 yards, this is everything i wanted, trying to figure out how to post pics from my phone , i want a better scope than the leapers 8-32×56, to shoot out further than 100 yards i have to turn down the scope to 20,, at 100 yards i am on the last mill dot, at 140 yards at 20 power on last mill dot , I do not like turning down the power on scope at long shots, but have no problem hitting empty pellet tins at 140 from the sled, going to zero in at 85 yards and see what the hold under will be at 25 so i do not run out of scope at over 100 yards at full power , I have a great shooting range behind my shop cut out in the pines to 400 yards flat with no wind
That’s my experience between those two brands as well. I have only shot them both in .177 & .22 but i would be puzzled if the story was different in .25.

I have both in .25 cal and can say that Vulcan is more accurate and better handling than Wildcat.
Olb , like I said it’s your money and you should buy what ever makes you happy . If you do not want a Vulcan that is okay with me .
I bought .25 Vulcan because I really did not like any gun that FX had to sell they just didn’t appeal to me at all . Enjoy your FX and
just shoot your heart out with it and have fun . That is what shooting guns regardless of make , calibers or types of gun is all about .

I would choose the Impact over a WC twelve times out of ten. The WC feels like a crappy plastic toy in comparison to … Any gun really. A Bob Cat would be my choice before the WC.

First let me say that I BELIEVE the wildcat will be everything you hope for good choice. With that being said not that the vulcan is a bad choice its probably just not for you, the best thing about it is you will never know. You will get your gun love it (as long as there is no issues which is a possibility with all new guns). Congrats.
i don’t have a vulcan but I do have a Tactic which is BASICALLY the same gun and I love it but its not shooting as good as guy here are saying is should shoot, so i’m getting it worked on to see if there is anything wrong with it and see if the Master can make it better. But i see a Wildcat or a Impact in my future sometime next year.
Both guns were out of the box stock , Both were cleaned about 250 pellets ago, they had sidewinders 8×32-56 glass , I liked the WC better looked, felt and seemed to be a better quality gun, and it shot great , he had an amazing collection with many air guns and a lot of very old and collectable firearms even has a working blunderbuss, not my position to give his full name that is up to him and i am not sure he posts in forums , Thanks for the opinions on the guns i guess they are like women to each his own , I hope my WC shoots as good as his it will be here Mon , got it from straight shooters, After calling around they were very informative and even offered to help me find any gun i wanted even if they didnt sell it , :4:

was shooting out of the box what it was meant to do . I was able to shoot out to 193 yards and hit what I was shooting at . You may
have jumped to a decision that just because your friend has both guns and one shot better than the other which in your position
normally no one would think otherwise , you should really look for more info from all of those who own and shoot the Vulcan in
what ever caliber they have before making a decision that you may regret later on . All I’am saying is buy what you want , but make
sure that you have given yourself the full proof in your decision .
