Q:

Vulcan shooting down 110 fps

Put the Vulcan over the Crony this weekend the velocity was a 110 fps slower then the first time I Crony’d it which was verified by Talon Tunes with 18.1 JSB. Spoke with Greg first who gave me some idea’s I did everything but check the barrel placement which Evgeny asked me to check today. And it’s not that, the grub screw is lined up with the indent in the barrel. I also did a physical inspection of the Breech O’ring which is in place and then I checked the transfer port with a kleenx for a possible leak of that O’ring. All looks good. Called Talon Tunes left message no call back. Any idea’s please leave me some feed back. I messed with the HST nothing there either.

Hey Oakey Doakey…..

How is your repair coming? I to noticed about 80 to 90 fps drop from 920 fps out of box after about 1,200 rounds. Also the manometer on end of AT was leaking air. Gun has been sent to dealer for repair. Just wondering how your repair was going?

I received a new main spring from Evgeny. The gun is back together and I shot it yesterday however I have not crony’d it still waiting on my new Crony. I also have not adjust the HTS. It grouped up well at 50 yards, 75 yards and was in the ball park at 100 yards. I was nailing 2″spinners at 100’s pretty consistently with the MTC Viper strapped to it and it is the scope I like the least of all of my scopes. More to come.

Leaker I have no problem speak Czech language  Russian language is worst I learned only 3 years in basic school before long time. 😛 But If you have some question I can send a request to my friend he is working in Airgun Technology CZ.

You should tell him that they need to solve this problem with no trained mechanics in USA very Pronto. The US guys need to be able to get immediate help if problems arise in form of someone who knows how to work on the Vulcan.

And after 1,000 rounds of very accurate shooting (the best I’ve done with an air rifle), a good cleaning and lubrication made the action really smooth, easy change of bolt to opposite side, minor polishing and proper adjustment of the safety, easily adjusted trigger pull per personal likes, Hoot: style venting of the already good noise suppressor, I’ve had a lot of fun but only have one thing to do to make this a perfect rifle. Yep, just the ping or as I call it the twang. And as I discovered with another air rifle poeple don’t know their air rifle has a ping until they have a good noise suppressor.

 they will be very pleasure 😀

Oh well – each and every dealer can order whatever parts he ever wishes and keep them on the shelf . I understand why Evgeny doesn’t want laymen , neophytes and self proclaimed experts to tear into the gun. Many such types do more harm than good while Fuxing with the gun.
A while ago he was talking something about a workshop manuals in CD ROM so that could be provided with the gun. I quess a video tutorial for tearing the gun apart and getting it back together correctly.

I also understand that many of us are perfectly capable to work on any PCP – especially if following a workshop manual .
And a dealer should be able to fix a gun he/she sells. Otherwise there’s something wrong in the chain …

Lurker do you think I have ESP? How do you think I know that Evngey couldn’t get cases from Italy? He told his dealer and they relayed that information to me. I put it on the board because someone asked. The dealers need to handle customer service. I assume in your business you stock parts that are not made by your company right ? If I hire your electronic service company and an item breaks does your company send me to another country to get parts ? I’m guessing since you have the money to pay for a 1700 airgun you’re successful. So there is no reason to answer the hypothetical question I just asked, we all know the answer.

When you become a dealer for anything you have to consider that you will need to supply parts and service before you decide going into selling a certain product. If I would be a manufacturer I would require a certain amount of parts to be in stock by dealer. It would be a red flag to me if a dealer buys 100 guns and no spare parts. The dealer would also be required to do any repairs needed with troubled guns. Gun would be dealt with and fixed with the dealer and manufacturer working out the issue. I’m beginning to understand the FX and AoA story a bit more.

Keyser, you got a tiny bit correct in that i’ve never been a gun dealer.
But I have been a mechanical and electronics service technician and the Toledo service manager fo an internation corp.
but more importantly I have been a comsumer for 60+ years.
What I don’t understand is why we get so little information from people so willing to take our money.
We do our best to help others and we are the last to be informed why deliveries are repeatedly put off. Damn they could have just explained that everybody goes on vacation in the eu for the month of august. No wonder we had to bail them out at least twice now. Believe me, there is a limit to it. In the meantime we would appreciate not being treated like fools with to much money.
Start by explaining in english, how this poorly communicated delivery and warranty system is supposed to work. It’s to the point that Evgeny needs to tell us if he really wants our business.
We feel we have been disrespected by poor communications from over there.

I may only speak one language but we ceased to require multiple languages for further education back in the late 1950s.
If multiple languages were a requirement to buy an airgun there would be no foreign sales here.
Maybe everyone can understand this “DON’T TREAD ON ME”!!!

Because lurker people don’t like to wait for their gun to be fixed. They don’t want to use Google translate to talk to an person in the Czech republic. I can tell by your response you have never been in the retail industry or customer service market. If you want to be a premium dealer then you stock parts. The dealer fixes the gun then gets reimbursement from the manufacturer. That’s how it’s done with firearm.
