Q:

Vulcan shooting down 110 fps

Put the Vulcan over the Crony this weekend the velocity was a 110 fps slower then the first time I Crony’d it which was verified by Talon Tunes with 18.1 JSB. Spoke with Greg first who gave me some idea’s I did everything but check the barrel placement which Evgeny asked me to check today. And it’s not that, the grub screw is lined up with the indent in the barrel. I also did a physical inspection of the Breech O’ring which is in place and then I checked the transfer port with a kleenx for a possible leak of that O’ring. All looks good. Called Talon Tunes left message no call back. Any idea’s please leave me some feed back. I messed with the HST nothing there either.

In order for me to check other possibilities of why my Vulcan is shooting 110 fps under I need Zonks Hagan Tool. Tomorrow…………..

John Tool also fit the Mutant, but so does my wife hair pin, and a mod bamboo chop stick and even using your thumb/pointing finger by applying pressure to over come the HS you my have to remove stock if you have a big fingers.

there are so may thing I can shove in those 3 holes to make it tune but these 2 I used the most when I cant find john tool—has legs I’m telling you!

A bit longer though

Generally speaking, three parts of the bullpup control velocity: Regulator, Valve, Hammer Spring Tension.

Barring problems elsewhere, I’d turn the HST clockwise two full turns…see if fps goes up, then adjust to where it belongs.

IF that doesn’t do the trick, then the valve and regulator are in question. However, there have been few problems of this nature posted. So experience is rather thin at this time.

Something changed, that’s certain. But what? Do you shoot the gun a lot? Vibration is always an issue with anything possessing compression or spring loaded parts.

Valve or regulator failure is unlikely since the gun still shoots. So, something came out of adjustment. It’s probably something very simple. Keep looking, but try the simple adjustments first.

Oak, what brand of gasoline did you last fill the chrony with ❓
E15 shouldn’t be used in anything more than a couple years old.
You didn’t say a thing about it not shooting as good as usual.
