What scope dresses the Vulcan?

Elmer You are one sharp dude. Even surpassed our ever so informed and intelligent Uncle Hoot. Now make sure you relish this moment before uncle Hoot catches wind of this and brings this party to a grinding halt!

  just checking…..
If I’m not mistaken, he upgraded his scope. He went from a shitty in comparison SWFA SS 3-15×42 to the SWFA SS HD 5-20×50. I’ve heard very good things about the HD version. It has one of the best glass in the $1K range. He also spoiled it with a NF mount.

Take a wild guess Zonk…..Hint no new level

I like the sound of that, Sir LURKER #1 the man that will not die from rabies. Immune to rabies is the possum part of me.
But it is still difficult to line up through a scope without high rings.
TouchΓ© ! Those MF are the real inbreds π
Does that get the scope far enough back that you can hold your cheek on the back end of the rifle β
I’ve tried locating my scopes all the way forward to all the way back to try to keep from having to get higher rings. I guess I have a fat head with eyes closer together like most predators.
Scope fits perfectly with rail reversed. Back ring is in the last (first) slot at the back.
Cheek rests on back end of vulcan and scope rests on the side of your nose. Perfect alignment and distance to get full field of view. Also gives another contact point to help hold gun still even though you don’t have to hold it tight against the nose – just feels more stable. This scope has a 30mm eye relief. This is the perfect scope for the vulcan and maybe for ANY bullpup.
I did strip out one of the screws holding the rail. I made sure the hex wrench was all the way in but the screw was so tight that the wrench turned and the bolt didn’t. Had to lightly hammer a torx bit into it to remove it. Then I cut a slot for a screwdriver. I’ve contacted Tony to see if I can get a new sbolt but haven’t heard back. Anyone know the size, length and thread type for a replacement? Wondering if the box hardware store may have one. My bolt works but you can see the cut slot. Just want it back perfect.
BTW, the hole above the “Target 7” text was NOT one of the 11 shots. My bench was a wobbly glass top patio table. I didn’t think the group was too bad. Maybe next session I’ll get out my portable shooting bench. I just wanted to get several hundred rounds through the gun since others have stated the ping lessens after many shots. I did notice the hammer ping was less but I think the ping I hear now may be harmonics in the air tube. Do these have a depinger installed? Do they need one?
Thanks for the compliment Sir Ville, that’s equivalent to being considered europeon royalty.

I now own the MTC Connect with SCB reticle discussed in this thread. I too found it hard to focus the reticle and there should have been 1 or 2 more ‘clicks’. However, I can focus it when I wear my prescription glasses. Most if the time I shoot without them because all of the Leapers/UTG scopes I’ve owned have enough adjustment that I can get everything focused correctly. Not so with the MTC.
Sorry everyone but as it stands now, I will be keeping this scope. Great field of view. The small lines of the “christmas” tree do take getting used to and are a little difficult to see with a busy background (such as tree limbs and leaves).
I didn’t like mounting 2 sets of rings in front of the elevation knob so I reversed the rail, a friend cut a ring for me and it all works perfectly.
My vulcan is a .22.
I tried to upload photos but I get an error:
“Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.”
EDIT – Maybe this will work. And target was 11 shots (1 mag) at 28 yards.
Nice job reversing the rail π‘

Like most Predators ?? We call those The Inbred over here .. π
Possum eyes…..

Glad it worked for you Benj. I sure liked that scope, to bad I couldn’t get it to focus for me.
Well, getting back to topic π

I’m going to have to move scope a bit forward as the its really cramped turning the parallel adjustment knob. I did want to mention this thing is so clear I’m beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with my other glass. LOL
