While you’re waiting for your Matadors……..
I thought I would share with you how I coped waiting for my Matadors. It’s a loooong story with a lot to learn. I started this thread back in June 2011 while still waiting, – and oddly enough it became one of the most viewed threads on this forum.
This is how it started:
As it happens, I am the lucky owner of a serious harem of nice guns. And I frequently visit my summerplace on the coast down south in Norway, where weather is the only restriction to my shooting….
Summernights are nice and light with sunset around 22hrs….:

So yesterday I quit Oslo for a few weeks. Fed up with my loooongish waiting for ED and friends to deliver I took 11 members of my harem with me.
Here they are:

As some of you may know, I test and review guns for our Norwegian forum, and this time a comparison of springers is on the agenda….
So go ahead and name them, from left to right…….
And yes. There will be a more in depth test of Lelya 090 who has got new glasses for the occasion…….. 😉
Life is too short to sit put and wait……… 😀

Jazz, I know what you were trying to say but couldn’t bring yourself to do it…..” I’m ready to sell my EdGun” there I said it for you. Just hit me back with a PM and we’ll settle on a price. Thanks so much and love ya man.
And HOOT…..while you’re taking him to eat catfish and hushpuppies in Arkansas, you really should drop by the family reunion to show him how you guys there pick up chicks!!!!
I’m….
..

speechless…………………
And I know, if you want to be 100% exact, it takes 10 months!
But first I will start the construction of my house! They will start normally next month, so… When it’s finished, then kids;
Kazzz….I may have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night. Certainly I know the difference between Bulgaria and Belgium. What I don’t know is exactly where in Bulgaria the city of Belgium is located???
Further, there is a very sound reason you can afford a ten month pregnancy in Bulgaria. You see, my boy, the climate permits a very limited birthing season. The female Belginium must give birth before the onslaught of the classic Bulgarian Winter, and the migration of the native musk ox, from which the hides are taken to make the classic Belgium “Yurt”. For the uneducated and untraveled forum members, a “Yurt” is a two story brick structure, 2.5 baths, with a single entrance at the back of the structure, covered by the durable hide of the Musk Ox. Inside, the floors are mostly a heated ceramic tile, with hot water heat circulating from the local volcanic springs. Ceilings tend to be 3 meters high, with a Spackled Ox-bone/morter textured finish, re-known for its heat retention ability and lovely mauve coloration. Walls tend to be a finely finished native Pine wood, tightly insulated with goose down, and musk ox wool.
The fortunate citizens of Belgium have never lacked for free electricity, as the area is located on the highest mesa in Eastern Bulgaria, and has the highest lightening strike incidence in the world. The industrious Belginiuns have developed huge underground capacitors to hold this captured electricity in storage, until it is metered out to the various village households via baked earthen tubes called “Elektra/Volten-Shooterns”.
An ancient culture, an industrious people, a government controlled sexual contact allowance per couple, called “Kouple-Squirtin-Stopple”, has all combined to maintain an affluent society, and a zero growth population.
Sadly, due to the long dark Winters in the sub-Artic location, single individuals sometimes succumb to the depression from the seasonal lack of ambient sunlight, which the locals call: “Dark”. A significant number of residents each Winter throw themselves into the Nation’s single waste treatment plant in Brussels, and their loss is thus classified in the National Registryof Births and Deaths, as “Sewer-cides”.
Well…I hope this dispels any doubts about my ignorance!!! Further, I hope our forum members will better understand foreign cultures, lifestyles, and native habitats and practices. Zocoloco could certainly fill in the voids I was unable to fill.
Kazzz….there is NO need for apology. (although my wife told me a few minutes ago that you may expect one from me????)
However, I would like to visit you, and your lovely family to be, before I die, and briefly experience the exotic lifestyle you Belgiums experience. I would like to taste the native dish of “SturgeOx”, (Sturgeon and Musk Ox innards, said to be similar to the Scottish dish of “Haggish”)
When you visit me, you will be treated to the native Arkansas cuisine of “All You Can Eat Catfish w/Hushpuppies, re-fried beans, Coleslaw and sweet tea.”
Fascinating discussion, but alas, I’ve exhausted my knowledge of international culture and life styles. I certainly encourage others to fill in anything I may have unwittingly left out. I would really like to hear how other cultures and countries live their lives, as Arkansas has only one globe, and a 1958 set of encyclopedias, located at the Bill and Hillary Clinton museum of “Culture ‘N Stuff” in Little Rock, Arkansas.
One question…is”Estonia” a real place? It’s not mentioned much in the encyclopedia up at Little Rock, and I hear it referred to here from time to time. Long ago, someone hand wrote on the margin of the encyclopedia page where it is mentioned, that in the local language, the term “Estonia” translates loosely to “A place where a guy tripped over a big stone, broke his second toe from the left on his right foot, met and wed a nice lady, and built a seven room Cedar hut, 800 square meters in size, 2.5 baths, hot water heat, 100 meters of lakefront on a hill, with a walk-out basement, and his many children later grew into a village, then a nation, founded on ancient stone milling skills, and later CNC technology.”
Is that really true??? Is the Estonian language really THAT complicated???
Kindest regards, and with hopes my discourse will result in world peace, more export of pork products from America, and the exchange of ideas and perceptions among nations.
Academically yours….

“Ignorance shared, is ignorance diluted…”
Anonomous
Ehr, Hoot, I’m from Belgium (the country around Brussels somewhere 🙂 !)
And I know, if you want to be 100% exact, it takes 10 months!

I hope my father can say the same in max 2 years 🙂
Unless you guys in Bulgaria do it differently, it only takes nine months for one, eighteen months for twins, and twenty-seven months for triplets…which is extremely rare!
Best wishes….
Kindly ‘Ol Uncle H 😯 😯 T
PS: Here are my daughter’s twins…they are one year old yesterday. The little girl had to wear a “head shaper” for a few months because my daughter is so petite, the little boy crowded his sis in the womb, and her head was a little out of round. Helmet fixed it up fine. I didn’t even know such things existed. When I was a kid, you took the baby to the local tire shop and had them spin-balanced!

Oh…she told me to tell you if you wanted twins you can “double-up”, and get both in nine months….not sure about the triplets. In Arkansas you need a permit, or something, from the chiropractor!
Also, I ordered a .22 Lelya the other day. I’ll have to sell my left nut when these Edguns arrive. I’m wondering how Jerry’s 9-ring slugs will perform in an 11.5″ barrel. Might have to adjust the HST…’cause I heard FastandDangerous shot one out of his Lelya, it popped out the barrel, fell on his boot, and broke his right big toe! But…Rossel told me it’s simple to adjust the HST, so I’m good to go. (Don’t tell Ed!) :whoop:
Great news, Trygve 😀 Having three of my own I know exactly how you feel.
Friend Nik 🙂
CONGRATZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ grandpa!!!!!!!! \o/
I hope my father can say the same in max 2 years 🙂
All,
While I’m amazed and also amused that this thread is now fast approaching a stunning 41000 views, – let me remind you that life is not ONLY EDguns……… 😉
Surely EDguns are worth waiting for. I have no regrets whatsoever. On the contrary, I’ve yet to see an airgun with so much “passion” behind it. Be it from ED himself, – or this worldwide congregation of “lunatics” (where I am a high ranking member) who is either enjoying one or dribbling in the “bush”. And yes, it IS an astonishing piece of equipment well worth waiting for….. 😀
BUT life has more to offer…….
I was brought up with three sisters. I have three daughters myself….
So there has been very few males in my life (apart from Hoot in his red latex)……… 🙄
Now things have changed………
I’ve been blessed with a grandSON !!!
He is not quite ready for his EDgun yet, – but he’s getting there……..
Here he is (the one to the left):

So ED: Kindly put him on top of your list !!!!! 😀
Please……. 😀
Cheers from Trygve in sunny Lanzarote….. 😀
PS: Cricket update: Apparently all pieces have arrived in Oslo. A thorough test and comparison will follow in due course….
You may qualify agewise (after me and Koljo), – but maturitywise I’m not so sure……. 😉
Cheers from sunny Lanza 😀
OLD Goat: Not nice to jump the queue, although I’m glad you’ve admitted in public to feeling older than me 😆
You may qualify agewise (after me and Koljo), – but maturitywise I’m not so sure……. 😉
Cheers from sunny Lanza 😀
Happy Birthday HOOT!
Trygve, Thanks for getting the delivery order changed! I guess that the revised delivery order puts me second on the list!
In addition to the R3 22 cal standard that I am waiting for, I need to call Tony and tell him that I also want a R3 25 cal standard and another R3 25 cal long version.
NEXT WEEK! (While I am still above ground and can enjoy them!) 😆
Happy BD from me too for Hoot! \o/
Enjoy on this International Women’s Day 🙂
Happy birthday Hoot ! 😀
My little surprise/token of appreciation to you on this very special occasion is this newly struck deal with ED/Tony that all waiting lists have to be reorganized according to applicant’s age…. 😉
The oldest/most mature ones will get their guns first (Matadors, Veles, Lelya etc). That means you’re now first in line ………
After all, it’s only fair we get to test these ghosts out before we pack it in, – don’t you agree ….? 😀
Cheers from Trygve in Lanzarote…

Little known fact…in Arkansas, when a husband says to his wife…”Listen here, Sister….” It’s the literal truth!
Picking up chicks at familiy reunions….in Arkansas that’s called “Speed Dating!”
