Q:

why attack the Mutant

I have been scratching my head for weeks now trying to understand why a small group of people attack the mutant. I understand that there is a lot of politics in the airgun business because the market share is small. I know that dealers and manufactures hire Spartans to invade forums and spread fear and discourse. AGN has become a cesspool of special interest pushing a gun. The Mutant is a fantastic gun. I don’t get paid to say so, I paid for my gun the same way all of you will. I never wanted my real name out not because I am hiding but because I wanted to stay anonymous. I wanted be able to call a dealer, get a gun, and review it without any special treatment or customized treatment that so often is the case with guns sent to “professional reviews”. When a gun goes wrong I’ll be the first person to call the problem out. Many of you remember me on the rampage about the Mutant short barrels and more recently about the EDgun .30. I love the honesty found here on this board. Tony has given us the freedom to speak the truth even if it may hurt a gun that he sells. I only stray from my original question slightly in order to illustrate a point; if you bullshit, lie or have a secret agenda over here on TAG you will be drawn and quartered by it’s residents. This is why the spartans stay away from this board, they would be crushed.

So back to the question at hand…why attack the Mutant? The price. I held the opinion that Steve from WWAG over priced the Mutant. I think he priced the Mutant at 1450 for several reasons. He wanted a dealer network, and he may have felt the need to protect the Cricket. I also knew that eventually someone would begin to sell Mutants for cheap. Let’s face it, labor cost are pretty low in the Ukraine. It’s hard for a socialist country with insane taxes and utility cost to compete with a small Ukrainian maker. So you are a large dealer, your main source of income comes from a country that pays through the roof labor cost and taxes. Suddenly a little gun that is efficient, accurate and quiet comes along and threatens sales of the more expensive guns. So you make sure that doesn’t happen.

Never forget the airgun holy trinity: Accurate, Reliable, Quiet. When a gun has all three of these characteristics you have a winner.

Well Rhea, I have stopped participating in these threads simply out of respect for Ted and Michael. They are obviously getting heat from dealers you are affiliated with. It should not be like that. Y’all have two forums to write your marketing drivel on and push these guns. And write nonsense like smooth twist barrels lead up quickly, without even knowing that polygonal rifling which this is on ST barrel ends, pressed in from the outside in practice gets lead up very little. What Y’all seeing is lead dust, which has zero effect on accuracy. New folks have no idea about this, yet they read it, thinking they are getting quality information, and it will make them shine away from FX air rifle purchase, guns that are indeed one of the best if not the best today the money can buy. All their product line is unique.

When Dman1456 says we have and adgenda against the Mutant let him come here, open up his own topic and we go point for point. You are the once dudes that are being babysitted by the moderators, and can’t hold a real debate because y’all know very little about air rifle. And Because all facts are against Y’alls argument.

So far everything that was rumored and reported on the internet forums checked out on Taumen. And the fact that Taumen is not even the manufacturer of these guns. China or Hong-Kong, yes most likely, the same place where those now hyped RAR VL guns are made. But at least those people are not lying about where they make RAR pellet rifles. This Taumen maker however knowingly mislabels country of make origin. And dealers in the US, sell them as premium air rifles guns for $1,445, now $1099 after some myth busting, sell them for such price also knowing that they cost their $600 in Ukraine and $250 in China. That is fellas nothing but chrony capitalism and market manipulation taking advantage that 50-60% of these air rifle buyers have no clue what makes a good air rifle. Someone like Mr.Sniper really knows his game, this guy is DA MAN that tries to help. Of course he is getting heat from dealers and certain dubious manufacturers that get exposed how they do things. He just badly needs an English translation channel to help educate folks.

Keyser Soze mutant or DonnyF are not factory mutants. They were highly modified. Barrels they machined new, regs were tuned, custom moderator was added, even the factory stock was refinished on KS gun. And that is why dealers are bringing them as parts, because they know how much labor they need to put in, to get them sorted out. Denying all this makes y’all look stupid. This problem only developed because for a year Taipan owners can’t get what they have paid for. Some of us joined this debate because we don’t like to see our FX and Daystate rifles being compared with these guns, and don’t like to be banned from some forums simply because we disagree. When someone write their Mutant can’t hold POI and the next post within few minutes reads AND SO DOES DAYSTATE HUNTSMAN” – that is just total BS, like those comments that ST barrels don’t shoot well or lead up quickly. If Michael and Ted give in to these folks that come here too from those forums and post this kind of info, it is their forum and is their right. Some of us then just leave. But by giving in gentleman you want stop these attacks on FX products. This is what their strategy is all about, bring in cheap made guns, hype them up to FX quality levels and put pressure on one of the best dealers over here they have problems with and the manufacturer – FX Airguns. Who is behind all this you fellas know without me repeating his name.

Why no one attacks Jkhan? Well what is there to attack about Evanix brand other than 6 or 7 pound trigger pull? Where they are made and who makes them we know. Their business address checks out even on the cars they produce. I will leave it at that.

Tactical, I welcome you to come over to TAG and debate me…I really do welcome it. I’m waiting… I’ll even ignore the run on sentences, spelling errors and inappropriate use of punctuation. Tactical, you are a simpleton and a liar.

Same barrel as the other shortys…. they were all korean. 50% have stamp . 20″ barrel blank cut in half for 2 guns….

These were put on stds sent to Germany hence the reason for the stamp. (had to have it legally)

My orginal barrel was not maked made in germany. It had no markings on it.

My father is German. He always would tell my brother and me: Ehrlich macht reich, aber langsam geht’s her, which translates into Honesty makes you rich, but she works slowly.

Now here we look at the dishonest and dishonorable person known on AGN as PCPgunman/ Tactical/sergey/ELplinker. A person with 4 sign in on names because he is by nature dishonest. He wrote this post stealing GKU’s photos claiming they are “dealer photos” and incorrectly stating these guns suffer from blowback.

EDIT: Seems like Micheal took the post down so the thread is gone. Too bad, he let the liar off the hook.

The true nature of these photos were from GKU and he was asking me if I had noticed the new barrels shot a little slower as compared to the original. The other photo were also from GKU who was explaining how to properly tension the barrel bands. Not all the barrels were marked “made in Germany”.

Don’t you guys find it odd that no one is attacking the JKHan. That is an affordable bullpup. I wonder what attacks the VL-12 will get after it makes its way to the USA? Fear of the loss of one’s market share is a powerful motivator.

yup pissa junk

Yeah all original. The only upgrade was the barrel I got from Dman

Is that the original stock KS?

Taken this morning at 130 yards with a 16 grain JSB at 815 fps. Good thing this gun is such a piece of junk.
