why attack the Mutant
I have been scratching my head for weeks now trying to understand why a small group of people attack the mutant. I understand that there is a lot of politics in the airgun business because the market share is small. I know that dealers and manufactures hire Spartans to invade forums and spread fear and discourse. AGN has become a cesspool of special interest pushing a gun. The Mutant is a fantastic gun. I don’t get paid to say so, I paid for my gun the same way all of you will. I never wanted my real name out not because I am hiding but because I wanted to stay anonymous. I wanted be able to call a dealer, get a gun, and review it without any special treatment or customized treatment that so often is the case with guns sent to “professional reviews”. When a gun goes wrong I’ll be the first person to call the problem out. Many of you remember me on the rampage about the Mutant short barrels and more recently about the EDgun .30. I love the honesty found here on this board. Tony has given us the freedom to speak the truth even if it may hurt a gun that he sells. I only stray from my original question slightly in order to illustrate a point; if you bullshit, lie or have a secret agenda over here on TAG you will be drawn and quartered by it’s residents. This is why the spartans stay away from this board, they would be crushed.
So back to the question at hand…why attack the Mutant? The price. I held the opinion that Steve from WWAG over priced the Mutant. I think he priced the Mutant at 1450 for several reasons. He wanted a dealer network, and he may have felt the need to protect the Cricket. I also knew that eventually someone would begin to sell Mutants for cheap. Let’s face it, labor cost are pretty low in the Ukraine. It’s hard for a socialist country with insane taxes and utility cost to compete with a small Ukrainian maker. So you are a large dealer, your main source of income comes from a country that pays through the roof labor cost and taxes. Suddenly a little gun that is efficient, accurate and quiet comes along and threatens sales of the more expensive guns. So you make sure that doesn’t happen.
Never forget the airgun holy trinity: Accurate, Reliable, Quiet. When a gun has all three of these characteristics you have a winner.

I’m also wondering what he’s trying to imply on this reviews involving the Mutant. It seems he’s giving it a negative vibe but due to the language barrier, I’m not certain. I do know he sells all the other airguns in his review except for the Taipan. Is he questioning the trigger and cycling in one of his videos? Even our resident pro tuner Ernest gives that aspect of the Mutant high praises so I question the intent of sniperqty’s video. He’s a smart and well respected tuner and reseller. It’s fine to do a subjective comparison and point out dislikes and criticism but once you go beyond that point, people start to question your motives.
His motives are quite clear… the man sells vulcan ….
Mugghram sells the mutant in kuwait… sniper is feeling the pressure. Right now the mutant is gaining traction and sniper does not.like that.
Wonder what he is gonna do when tamaun releases the .25 bullpup. …..
