XP airguns ranger 45 caliber 36inch barrel MONSTER !
I now have my new xp airguns ranger 45 caliber airgun , and i must say this is a MONSTER shooting gun . 😆 😆 😆 😆
So far i have tested out 454 round ball ,and 250 grain laser cast bullets .
during brake in so far the round ball is working better , dead on accurate shooting 3000 psi 1070 fps on low power , mid power 3800 psi 1150 fps working down 9 shots to 877 .
The laser cast 250 grain stuff , on mid power 987fps working down 9 shots to 720 ,
these numbers should improve by around 50 fps after break in according to Dan Mcvey .
this gun gets a lot of shots for a big bore , and with the long barrel the power stays up even at low pressures . 😉

I’ve got some lead coming in too and i cant wait to get to casting more slugs. Guess i’ll cast up some for the big ole JH 457. Its time to take her and her bullets out for some range work.

Almost as much fun as shooting them isn’t it?
I think I have both my molds waiting for me at the post office, then I will have a double cavity iron mold and a aluminum single cavity both for the 416.
I am heading for my old mountain house tomorrow for about 6 or 7 days, I will be shooting ground squirrels with the Ranger and the 25 Condor and scouting for elk, but I am going to cast another 100 or so before I leave. I will take three 44 cuft tanks, the Pygmee and the much malighned Booster pump.
Good place for the wife to kick back and recuperate also, she has never been to such a remote place in her life. It used to be the only full time occupied house in 110 square miles, but now it is only occupied 2 or 3 months of the year.
You could ride a horse on the property for three days and never leave the place, but you would get tired of riding in a 2 mile circle. 😆 The closest neighbor is 22 miles by car.
BTW the wife is doing fine, and thanks for all your good thoughts dear friends.

Well my handles did make it in , so i was able to cast up some casull 348………/416 grain stuff up ! 😆
Jerry , they sent a replacement mold out , today there is another shipment that is suposed to come in with my mold handles/ electronic ear muffs for the range , midway sent this one the same way , so i am wondering if it will get here or not .
That sucks. Has a replacement been sent or are you waiting…

OK i got my lee bullet sizer today ,and another 80lbs of lead for casting
i sized up a bunch of casull 348 grain bullets for testing ,
the shots to the left were un-tethered starting at 4200 psi 3 shots , the shots to the right were teathered up at 4100 psi , :4:
this was a 3 shot group , right after the above pictured shots , i un-tethered the gun , starting on high power 4000psi the 3 shot’s that are around the circle fired right in a row :5:
this is the casull 348 grain bullet’s shot at well over 900 fps smashing through 5 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood then smashing into a hard knoted area on a half round of wood ……BAM ! 😯 😈 😆
This gun likes sized 452 bullets 😆 time to size up a bunch of bullets ! i think i got hundreds of them to do ! 😯 WOW ! 😛 …. :4:
