Hey guys, I’ve been on this forum as you know almost 24/7 hahhaha. I really enjoy interacting with everyone especially on a topic/hobby that I love as a kid and was recently re-ignited. I find myself going full speed into it and learning as much as I can of a world I never knew existed. Thanks to the inter-nerd(internet) we’ve been able to connect with so many like minded people around the world. I thank all the non-english speaking members who are trying their hardest to contribute through a translator. Even on topics not related to air guns, I am always interested in learning about where people are from and their cultures. So this thread is to try to get to know some of you guys a little better rather than your screen names. I personally like to address people by their first name rather than their screen name like Rocketlauncher lol, that is just an example by the way. I would understand if you do not feel comfortable with it, feel free to browse through 🙂

Below is a picture of my backyard. Not the biggest but big enough for us. Behind the white fence is a large conservation area. I’ve seen rabbits, squirrels, snakes and bobcats back there when I remove a section of it to access the back.
My other interest is gardening, we have over 20 fruit trees in the back. Mangos, pappya, grape fruit, blue berry, peach, and persimmons just to name a few.

And of course my little family. My wife is Mexican, I am Vietnamese so I guess that makes my son Filipino?

Trust me Doug…the wait sucked for me as well…but the lighter part of my story was I placed my name on march of
2011 and totally forgot I had placed my name on the list and when march of 2012 came I got the email and was shocked cause I didn’t have the money ready…so I scrambled to get something together and luck may have it tony had my
Gun while I was on my way driving down to Florida were I was able to meet up with him and exchange a butt load of cash for a spanking new edgun…..
But there’s always a sad part to a story and mine is the r3m didn’t come too long after my purchase….and that was a kick in the nuts….so to fill my multishot need….I went out and bought a cricket….

Loved your story, it was heart felt. I would have easily give up one of me Edguns for you. All you have to do is ask. Anyway, you are now one of th first few that is going to receive the all new R3M. Congratulation my friend. Please let us know your impression on the Edgun when you received it.

I just saw the movie trailer coming out in January for Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg at the theater today.
A family friend that went through school with my son stayed with us a while after he survived the Korengal valley (the year before Restrepo was filmed). Then he went back for another tour (we tried to talk him out of it) but luckily they kept him on one of the big bases and now he is state side permanently but still in the Army.
Marcus Latrell story on 60 minutes tonight. Real hard to watch after getting that call from the Dept of the Army that your own son has been shot up in the same place… eyes got a little damp I’m afraid.
Ed and Doug thank you for contributing to this thread and keeping it alive 🙂 Reading about your background and how you guys came upon PCP was very interesting. We can all agree that the forum has provided us with great information. I can’t recall one question that was left unanswered. There will be plenty more once the R3M and .30 cals come to our doorsteps next week. Looking forward to seeing everyone’s excitement and reading about your first impressions.
I’ver read everybodys so here is my air gun story, I’m 49 with a son 27, ” US Army Sniper retired ” a daughter 15 and a super duper great wife. I have been a little gun nuts all through the years. I have shot a little bit of every kind of pb’s and a little over 2 years ago as I remember I discovered Ted’s videos as a lot of us did and got addicted to the Edgun’s bull pup design, I was going through a tacticool phase which has long left me now but I still like the bullpup PCP’s. Any way I had emailed Tony back then as soon as I saw Teds gun and got on the list. I am not sure now but I think is was during the changeover from 2.5 to 3.0 and it took a long time of patiently waiting and then I got the note from Tony that my gun had arrived. Sounds great at first but there is more !!! The problem was that I had just left work and that computer for an extended weekend and I did not find his email for a a few days and much to my understanding he had moved on down the list and I lost out according to his email. 🙁 …. I was major league in PCP depression after waiting all that time. I had intentionally refused to waste my money and buy any other air guns as I knew I wanted the edgun. So I went out and got a Benji. break Bbl and played with it and it just did not fill the void and gets parked in the corner for months at a time between uses. Fast forward a few months to about a month ago and I was going full bore back on the fourms reading and then eventually joining so I could ask questions for which I could not find answers so I signed up on 3 or 4. ” TAG is the best !!!. Once again Ted !! got me fired back up with his review on the bobcat and I called AOA to order a FX Bobcat or a Cricket, and neither were currently available and after giving it some thought I sent Tony a note to start over on the EdGun, and it happened to be the day these recent guns had arrived and he replied ” R3M .25 long in stock in Florida ” I bet not too many folks have ever got that reply from Tony !!! and within one hour I had the wire transfer laying in his account !!! Happy ending !! …..
Not too long ago I had went ahead and bought a Benji P-Rod PCP to play with while I decided on a higher end gun since it looked like i was once again getting on a list somewhere and it looked like a fun plinker. I have also decided to not spend money twice with a hand pump and living an hour away from a re-fill I got a shoebox and a rollair jc10 to feed it. They are working very nice together as of yesterday and have filled the 90 cu. guppy with the air that will end up in my Edgun later this week I hope !!! I got a scope ordered and working on a QD mount now.

this is great to have you here, and i am also a new member as brother Ville mentioned it, i can say that i have four different time after finding this forum (the bullpup section especially) my times have been divided into four parties
1- my family
2- my job/work
3- TAG forum,
4- my PCPs (if i have time… 😉 😉 )
i really enjoy talking to my brothers here… they are nice and helpful…
hope other new members will join and share there nice words…
Thank you both. Trying to get a group of “alpha male” guys to agree on everything is as likely as 2 grown women living in the same houshold peacefully. 😀 What I like about TAG and everyone here is that we can put differences aside and discuss / promote the sport / hobby of airguns. Up here in Maine it can be difficult since firearms are so readily available and when you mention airguns people automatically think the Daisy you had as a kid.
What’s going on Ed….nice to meet you….as you can see we here at the tag (atleast here at the bullpup section) are very verbal and tho we might be loud and obnoxious we mean no harm, and contrary to other beliefs….we can help eachother out a lot.

Ive not formally introduced myself before as I was waiting till I actually had a pup in hand but given that my new pup is stuck down in Florida (This time of year, I wouldnt mind being stuck there myself) Ill do it now.
My name is Ed, I am 47 (in 1 1/2 weeks) years old. I have been watching and reading the posts on here for a while and think this a great community of people. I have a wonderful wife (married 6 months now) and 2 great boys ages 15 and 16.
I dont have much to offer in the way of knowledge as I was never taught to shoot as a kid. Ive lived in some states where owning a gun of any kind was either frowned upon socially and or discouraged by the governments. I moved to Maine about 15 years ago and have a friend who is a collector of firearms and he introduced me to them. I personally dont hunt and have nothing against others doing it, the most I do is “pest” elimination. 15 years ago I bought my first “adult” pellet gun, a RWS Diana model 48 for getting rid of the pigeons at work and have been hooked on them since. I didnt really start gettin into the PCP’s until last year when I ran into some extra money. Anything I do know about shooting has been self taught or learned the hard way by trial and error. I found this site about that same time (1 year ago) and have enjoyed the education. Seems as if everyone has something to offer in one way or another.
Well anyways, its nice meeting you all and I look forward to the time I might have in this community.

I just picked that word from The Simpsons -cartoon. Homer Simpson travels to NY to pick up his car (how it landed there is too long story to tell) and while waiting the Parking Officer to de-clamp his car he gets hungry. The only thing awailable at the moment is some weird Armenian guy selling some weird stuff, Klaw- Kalash, from his little foodwagon. I don´t know how the word Klaw-Kalash popped in my mind but it did when i saw your shoes – which BTW are soon comfortably hugging my feet …
