100 YARD .25 CALIBRE CONTEST!!

Today, after mowing my Ma’s lawns, and then having to use the strimmer(I think you guys call them weed whackers?) to clear 4ft X 300ft corridor, in absoultely appaling side winds ranging from about 5mph to 30mph, I managed this effort at 100 yards……
I was shooting prone, but was very wobbly with no back support.
This rig will without doubt shoot a sub 1″ group, probably tighter than that, but I need a good rest and some calm weather…
I only shot 3 five round groups ‘cos the wind was so high, this was the best..
Will be back to my Ma’s farm on Thurs so should hopefully have some better conditions to shoot in.

We need rules:
100 yards (duh) just measure it as well as you can.
5 shot groups. (?)
Must post picture of gun and groups with a ruler (or something to show size) beside groups. (because we want to see both, and you can’t just tell us the group size)
Post specs of the gun if they are different than stock.
Don’t cheat ya pricks. 😛

We don’t need no stinkin rules….. Shoot 5 shots from a .25cal pellet gun
at 100yds and post the results….
I know Pabs didn’t mention that but this is a spin off from another
thread…. Now I am not saying that you can not post .22cal 5 shot groups
if you would like Lama, it just won’t win. We all have .22cals that will Sub
1″ at 100yds… It is sort of a test of the shooter and the JSB Kings to see
if they will group sub 1″ and at what speeds… So chrony info for the gun
you are shooting would be of much interest.
Hey how about at the end of this month the member with the best group can have their pick of one of my new knobs….either the crow msg or kodiak …..I was thinking of starting something along these lines for a knob any way…..Greg
Only have this for now, The three are consecutive , 😯 , Will add more later . other groups were similar size but this one had the three touching.
i was breaking in the LR 308 at the range , shot two or three groups with the condor when the wind would die off a bit . Need to try this with JSB’s i think they are more consistant.
22 condor , .14g Cabela’s H.P. ,950 to 1000 fps,original tune was for 930 to 950 , but it is 100 degrees now and pressure rise in tank increased fps.
Considereing what you had to do to create your 100 yard range, and the lack of a good rest, that’s a pretty good group. You are only going to get better, especially if you are trying to keep up with Mam. 😀 That’s a good thing.
If anyone cheats, they are only cheating themselves. The other guys who are doing it right will use the cheaters groupd as something to aspire for and become better shooters as a result.
I’m going to have to hike up the hill to get my 100 yards. I’ve been putting that off…it’s kind of steep.
That’s a good idea. We need a good 100 yard airgun contest. I’ll be at the range before the end of the week and be sure to do a test. Granted I don’t have my condor anymore, but I’ll find an airgun to do it with. 🙂

Yup, between 953 and 957 fps using JSB Kings.
The Etac-Reg seems to be settling down to 950-960 fps.
VERY pleased with the Etac-Reg so far…..
