100 YARD .25 CALIBRE CONTEST!!

Today, after mowing my Ma’s lawns, and then having to use the strimmer(I think you guys call them weed whackers?) to clear 4ft X 300ft corridor, in absoultely appaling side winds ranging from about 5mph to 30mph, I managed this effort at 100 yards……
I was shooting prone, but was very wobbly with no back support.
This rig will without doubt shoot a sub 1″ group, probably tighter than that, but I need a good rest and some calm weather…
I only shot 3 five round groups ‘cos the wind was so high, this was the best..
Will be back to my Ma’s farm on Thurs so should hopefully have some better conditions to shoot in.

Fun topic, guys. Yeah, you should probably keep it to 1/4 cals, or things will get out of hand. And you do not want my little gun in this contest. 😉

I got to go to the range this afternoon. It was windy, I tried to shoot in the calm spells. For the last 8-10 days I have been having D.O.N.T. issues, (Dumbass Owner Named Tedd). I think that I might be making progress again.
Here is a pic of my shooting setup.
Mam gave me the idea for the Chrony mount.
I had been having trouble with my groups opening up. It was driving me nuts! I think that my barrel mounts had shifted slightly and was shaving the pellets a little. I loosened the mounts up and gave them a couple good wacks with the rubber coated handle of the pliers that I had with me. By the time I got everything ready to go, It was getting too dark for my Chrony to work. I wanted to shoot the tank down and refill before trying for any groups. I must have shot at least 30-35 shots in the circled mess just to the right of the calipers. That mess measures 2.40″. The last group of the day was .790. I can’t wait to get to the range tomorrow night and see how it does now.
I was planing on just getting data tonight. I wasn’t going to shoot for groups. I was shooting into rergular paper and the .25 tears it up bad. If I was using the card stock paper, the .790 would have been tighter. I can see that I am going to have to get me some digital calipers If I want to run with the big dogs!

Here is some of my shot strings, from today. The last one has 10 shots on it. By the time I got the barrel moved over, It was too dark for the Chrony to work. I think that the .790 group was shot in the 950s.
The way the Matador is set right now, I get 40-45 regulated shots.

Last groups of the day… The wind never really went still….. I just can’t
get 5 shots together.. 2, 3, 4 shots I can do but then I choke…. I have a
ton of 1 shot one holers though.. 😆 1.577″ average today

I just chronied 5 shots, @ 2,800psi, and it averaged 895FPS….
Ok, before I get disqualified, here is my proof as best I can present it…lol
I want credit for the 1 yd over just in-case of a tie…lol
When I have enough spare cash to make large purchase of JSB’s and get some of you USA folk to send some over, or do pyramid air etc. Ship abroad?
I’m using H&N FTT at the moment because I can get them easily, I have a handful of PAB’s JSB’s left but running them over the H&N lead might not give optimum results

I cant get a windless day to save my life around here, but I want to try.
Ill see what I can do next weekend. Ive shot sub moa with my .25 a few times, but most often groups are not that good.
I do have a 30 shot 100 yard group at just under 4″ though, with the 43gr EJs. Im sure youve seen that picture enough to be sick of it. 😉
