Q:

1st Rogue in…….NOT GOOD

If you haven’t seen it over on the Yellow, the 1st Rogue experience is not a good one.

I have to say that even today, i am still amazed at how folks will DEFEND a gun that doesn’t shoot well and its manufacturer. Were is the FIGHT in all of us anymore? Everyone is telling the guy to send the gun back to Crosman and Crosman will make it right. Am i the only IDIOT who still beieves in the simple principle that if they don’t get it right the first time then why give them a second one. For 1300-1500 bucks, 25 bucks for 25 bullets, and a shit load of HYPE, if i got results like what that guy got, Crosman would receive a RETURN package from me alright, but my Rogue would not be in it…lol. It just amazes me how folks get crap and all anyone can say is, “they’ll do you right, send it back”. It cost time and money to ship a gun “ONCE PAID FOR” back for repairs or service that it SHOULD NOT NEED in the first place. Trust me, i know that if i DO NOT know how to work on airguns, then i have no choice but to return it but this is simply BULLSHIT.

I guess my attitude comes from having one too many AIRguns that cost a ton of money have issues from the jump. BB guns simply COST waaayyy to fucking much money for what they are and for the problems they have to exist when NEW.

AM I THE ONLY ONE?

more importantly Tof
since when do Crosman pneumatics use fill probes in the first place?

how does a very slow leak turn an AG into a shotgun?

and then the statement by the same village idiot that some retardedly high percentage of factory service calls were due to lint in the fill port

yeah right

Agree Riverside. While the HYGIENE comment gives us all something to be aware of in the near future when we handle our airguns and their accessories, it’s simply an IDIOTIC STATEMENT cause the guy just got the gun and i’d bet my left and right nut that putting the FILL PROBE in his lint filled pocket had nothing to do with his leaking issues. As a matter of fact, i’ve never heard of that specific issue in all my life as a member of a forum or an owner of a PCP gun. But i must be smarter than him cause non of my airgun shit goes in any of my pockets…lol. WHO DOES THAT? Because i have about 8 different fill probes, the have there own special storage case (a pistol case). What is more common is that you top off your gun while outside and you set you tank on the ground and the fill probe or quick connect fitting drops in some dirt. That has happened to me ONCE and i learned my lesson the first time about placement of the fill whip when i am done topping off my gun.

As of yet, JC has not responded to my reply

my thing was the commentary from the usual suspects
that idiot Heywood outright floored me with his innuendos regarding the OPs probable poor “hygiene”

I had originally taken most of this as a defense of American production but that’s really not whats at work
notice the only time the made in America crap defense comes up is alongside Crosmam
anyone ever see it applied with AirForce?
in my opinion most of what drives this nonsense is raw envy
cant afford Foreign brand X so buy a Crosman and claim it is as good, maybe superior to the rest

one thing to remember is its likely the bulk of Rogues sold since release has been to Cabela shopping yuppies, not Airgun folks so we may not see many reviews on Airgun sites for awhile

Gonna go do a post on the YELLOW asking for JC to add more input.

its been a couple days since the incident and if he is legit he should have a little more NEW news by now.

Perhaps,

But htis last guy know what he is doing, and most of the ones before that did also.

To infer that all crosmans guns shoot well and it is operator error that causes all the problems is what I would call inconsisitant.

If that were true, why do Greg Davis and Marmot Militia have all this business making the guns shoot well?

What other gun do you have to do so much work on to get them to shoot well. Not AF, not AA, not FX, not Evanix, not Daystate, and not THeoben.

Sure we mod the hell out of AF guns, but they shoot well before we do, we do it because we can.

It is an easy fix, Crosman needs to spend more money on barrels. THey know they hae a problem, it faces them every day, but they make so much money with chinese parts, they have no reason to stop.

One who is insistent in his own views will find few who agree with him
Two guns no one has even seen much less shot, one the guy didn`t
have the sense to clean the barrel(gee all this black stuff came out
and the Rogue owner didn`t offer much more. All this uproar for what
could amount to an easy fix.Talk about contempt prior to investigation!
regards mark

Turns out the latest fellow on the yellow forum with the Mrod problem is an experienced shooter with a good bench set up and high quality PCP’s,

He is of the opinion he has a bad barrel.

air gunner… yah i had a .22 trail xp 1100 and it sounded really good on the internet so i bought one (first springer) and man was that thing inaccurate i was lucky to hit a can at 30 yards.. this was with a 30 yard zero on the scope.. the recoil is there it feels like before i pull the trigger… there is no way this gun does 1 hole groups so i sold it and bought a .22 condor instead… much better 😀 ……

but i have to say one thing i do have a marauder (must of got a good one.. luckily) because its accurate at 100 yards wich i thought was good for it… allthough most crosman products now days are pos items… and they have raised there prices…… but lowered quality…and there lies there problem…

The whole reason I am here is that I bought a Benjamin NP XL 1100 and the magnum force had so many harmonics in action that if you didn’t shoot it like a free floating artillery piece, there was no way you could shoot it with different clothing, because you could not replicate the hold.
$300 for gun and scope and all self contained sounded like a perfect 28 FPE combo, but it can’t be shot. And everyone on the “other” forum that claimed their’s shot 1 holers, never posted targets with all the facts.

After 3 months of all mods and tried and tried, I sold it to a fellow after I explained everything to him (long time springer user), and he still wanted it.

quote synopsys:

But hey if you get people to expect less than quality products

Thanks China.

I doubt he will be back. He got gang raped by the local pipe hitting thugs… 😯

Saw a link to a video of how to fill the Rogue. Why isn’t that critical instruction part of the package that gets shipped with the rifle… 😕

I bought a Benjamin pistol once HB 177 (was $150 new)… Gave it away, total piece of shit, couldn’t group at 10 yards after fixing a few issues it had right from the manufacturer. Bought a IZH pistol (was $300 new), amazing work of art, will own it until I die, groups like a gem at 10 yards…

Sure the total piece of shit was half the price of what I would consider to be an actual pistol but it was still overpriced at that. What would I pay for it again, maybe $25, one fifth the actual price and i’d still probably pass… Scary that a company would produce such a total piece of shit and actually sell it to people for money.

Benjamin will never see my business again unless they change things drastically.

I’d probably even give one away if I got another one for free. Not worth the risk, not worth the time, not worth the money. Burn me once and i’m not going to be interested ever again, regardless of the ‘claims’. I consider myself lucky to have learned the Benjamin lesson for only $150, if I had to learn it at $1300 i’d be calling for heads to roll or ALL my money back, including shipping and my testing time.

Just because it’s made in the USA doesn’t mean i’m willing to be ripped off and live with it…

Tof,

He may in fact be a troll.

But those rifles still have Crosman barrels, they are still shooting cast bullets, which you and I know is not just a take them out of the box one size fits all and they will shoot great, that works sometimes, but with different dimensions and different bullet designs come problems.

It takes work.

Crosman has a bad history on barrels.

And this is a complicated gun, giving room for all sorts of problems.

I truely hope it works for Crosman, and I truely hope they start putting quality barrels on their guns. But be prepared, even if this guy is a Troll, there will be others as this unfolds.

Remember when the PRods came out, the silence was deafing for the first week or so.

So be prepared for a lot of guys who will be branded as unhygenic ignorant shooters, with $1500.00 guns.

Roachcreek

For that price there should be no sending it back right out of the factory box… 😯 😉

WTF?

I mean if it’s a bargain for $1300 or so, maybe, but I just don’t see it.

Even for a $500 rifle it should be accurate and work properly right out of the box if the manufacturer expects to stay in business.

If the rifle was made in China it would be a bash fest, straight up…

and thats all i’m saying. While i don’t think EVERYONE should HANG the people at Crosman….I don’t think its right (if this guy JC is telling the truth) that folks just brush off 1300 bucks and a ton of hype and say, ohhhh send it back, Crosman will make it right…..lol. That is just funny as hell to me. And i like Crosman and have since i was a kid. Yes, they do have their faults and quality issues. I have high hopes for them still.

I simply hope this guy JC is the real deal cause i will feel like a fool if he is some troll or something. Actually i won’t, i was simply responding to what he posted.

Roach-
You’re just telling it as it is 😉
You’re good in my book
By the way where is Mr. WOK ?
Certaintly he would have chimed in on this one 🙄
