Q:

25.5 fpe @ 65yds…I was blown away at the power…

I, for some reason, thumbed my nose up at anything less than 35fpe because I had no idea how much knock down power that was at longer distances…Well today I shot some Beeman Kodiaks at some pellet tin lids at 65yds with a muzzle fpe of 25.5 and I could not believe the amount of force that was still left at 65yds….I would say it is more than enough for any small game at that distance and possible 10-20 yds further….After going through the pellet tins, the pellets were buried in treated pine that has been sitting outside for over a year. It was not soft. I could see these shots going straight through any small game at this distance…

😯 Is that a mag rim for a hotrod or a scope wheel that needs a spinner!! 😆

Wow, your giving us all your FT secrets… 😆 😉

Tony, do you think the USFT is better than a FWB of equal costs?

with AZ Knob and Sidewheel?

Tony

I had started marking my wheel when I had the TalonSS but never got finish….I need to do that too…I put out stakes from 20-65 yds every 5yds and then shot at those using mil dots…Not nearly as accurate as using the elev setting….I need to do the elevation….
I have to order the seal kit…..I already know that the seals need to be changed….Maybe best to buy 2 sets…..I’ll double check all of the liquid fitting too..Thanks for that heads up…..

and they are sitting in the box on top of the compressor waiting to be changed, LOL!!!

No worries, wouldn’t want anyone ruining a good floor!

Tony

out here in Northern California!!! 🙁

Was lucky to get the 10 – 30 yard clicks set up on one of my s the other day before the rain started dumping….now I need 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, and 65 yards!

Which compressor did you get? I need to rebuild/reseal my FX compressor, have the parts but been too lazy for the past 2 months!!!

Tony

What’s the USFT all about?
I bought an FX compressor…lol

USFT #49 is my primary FAC Field Target Rifle. I had it tuned and tweaked a bit during the off season so all the dope on my scope for clicking is wrong, so I have to start over…

Turn the power up to 50X, set up a tape measure from Target to 30 yards the other day, a bench and stool, rest the rifle on a bag…starting at 10 yards, rotate the sidewheel to 10 yds. to verify that the target is still in focus at the 10 yard setting on the sidewheel, the start shooting and clicking until POI = POA, once that’s determined, write on a fresh tape on my oversized Elevation Knob “10”…

Continue this for every yard to 30 yards so that I can use the scope to “rangefind” the distance to target by setting the magnification to 50X, rotate the sidewheel till the target snaps into focus, now what ever that number is showing for the range, I can rotate the Elevation Knob to the matching number so I can aim dead on the target! 😀

So now I have to work up 35 – 65 yards in 5 yard increments.

If you have a liquid cooled FX coming, check the hoses and clamps/cable ties frequently cuz they will tear or loosen up and leak.

Do not store it inside the house where it can leak on nice flooring that could get damaged! Mine has sprung MANY Leaks!!! I actually bought a plastic storage container that it fits in because I know its gonna leak and I don’t want it all over my garage!!!

Also, buy a seal kit from Pyramid Air, they go out eventually…

Tony

Tony , I still need to borrow that majic Hershey box for a little while! Nice to see your stuff again, you have some beauties.

The Hershey’s box is kept under MAXIMUM SECURITY MEASURES…makes Fort Knox look light duty! 😉
