25.5 fpe @ 65yds…I was blown away at the power…

Doug, you know what they say about ASSumptions, but, I assume you’ve had the chance to shoot both a stock A.F. rifle and the T.T. rifle. Would you please describe in your own words the difference between stock and a T.T. Tony rifle. Thanks.

Not to worry, not even Tony can shoot more than one at one time. I’ve watched carefully, one gun at a time, never more.

It’s not the quantity that gets you, it’s the quality. Goes for both man and machine ya know.

Yup, those are Tony’s guns all right. While I try to avoid shooting such guns (so very very hard to give back you know….), I’ve shot a few of them, watched him at the range and hunted with him many times over the last few years. Using those very same guns. And more. “That ain’t the half of it” as they say.

While he’s a great guy and all, he’s also dangerous. He has a twisted sense of humor. Once, for a group hunt, I asked to borrow ‘a quiet rifle’ so I wouldn’t disturb the other shooters as much. He loaned me a .22 Talon SS. I made what to me were some outstanding shots with this novel borrowed gun and just had to have one…..yes, Tony is responsible for my fixation with AF guns. He waited until after I’d asked dozens of questions and ordered one from PA before he got around to telling me the gun he’d loaned me was a full up Talon Tunes gun (I thought all it had was a fancy grip and the factory scope rail…..). He’s like that.

And he shoots to well to get even by outshooting him…..

I love to shoot and be able to hit what I’m aiming at, so Accuracy and Precision are important to me! I like knowing that I can be confident in the equipment so that any misses, shy of patent equipment failure, is due to me and my inability to pull it all together on that shot… 😯

So many people get caught up in the velocity versus accuracy, I went through a magnumitis stage and still love power but the guns gotta be accurate and consistent:

My USFT #20, shooting at 19fpe and change, 25 shots at 51 yards that can be covered with a dime:
