Air Arms Rifles: Which one do you have experience with
I have noticed that many own AA rifles, or have experience with them. Which one do you own, (Rob probably has a safe dedicated to AA airguns 😀 ). The XTRA FAC has great stats but it is so long at 44 inches. The carbine is sexy at 35″ and 5 lbs.. The Classic is a good compromise but is louder. So, if you don’t mind me asking, which do you own, or have owned, and what do you think of it? Also what do you do with it? (Look at it, hunt, target, etc..)

AA comes with pressure guage, quickconnect, shroud, and dovetail….rapid does not
what rapid comes with is a label saying theoben and a high pricetag….and is a very expensive platform for further modification.
rapid can come in .25 and about 50 fpe, AA cannot compete…but my career 707 mk2 full lenght rifle was more accurate and had 30 fpe more power, not to mention you can get 3 or 4 of them for the same price of one rapid

Many people got turned off to the Rapid after Cygnus X’s experience. However, Steve at Pomona Air Guns, swears by them. If I were serious about a Rapid, I’d call him. 760-244-8271:

Just to put my experience forward,I had an Air Arms Hunter Carbine in .22 calibre and I shot a LOT of rabbits and pigeons with it.Head shots on rabbits at 40 yds no problem,recoil was minimised by the weight of the rifle.I did not fit a silencer as most guys over here do,I never felt the need.Action was super smooth and the trigger was excellent,it was my best ever springer.
Circumstances forced me to sell it and I’ve always regretted it (Familiar story guys?)
anyway,I’ve got some cash now and the guy who bought it will not sell it back.looks like I’ll be buying a new one.(Even though I’ve got a rack of PCPs)

OK, so I have been loking at the Marauder and asking questions only to be directed back to the Air Arms S410. “Forget the money and buy what is proven” is what I am hearing from some of my friends and gurus. So I am bringing this post back for anyone else who might be considering the same delima.

The Air Ranger is one of those guns that has been known to be fine for one person and a living nightmare for the next.
One of the problems Daystates have is they do not clean up the burr within the rifling for the exhaust port. This has caused many problems for some until it was figured out. Now people usually have to deburr it themselves.
Wow what a JIP. That much $Money$ for a gun you would think it would be perfect. Poor Q.C. from Daystate!

The Super-10 looks like a nice gun, but I’ve never heard a thing about them.

HW’s is nice and accurate, but too expensive over here (’bout 2.5 times more than S400 in sub 12ft/lbs). You can debate the HW / AA thing to death but when it comes down to accuracy there’s nothing to choose and both is capable. The hw’s cocking and mag setup is superior IMO. (can of worms?)
I wish the one in last pic was mine, but i’m working towards a Ginb f.t stock which looks awesome.
