AZ tuned BSA Super Ten
Sent my BSA Super Ten to Allen Zasadny for some work….I can
not Emphasize how quiet this thing is now..Screw on LDC with
end cap to protect threads when not using LDC….Trigger is match grade
1 stage, and the fill adapter mod is a have to have….Cocking bolt
is cool too but everything else over shadows the knob….

If Mr Zesadny wishes not to use “the internet” can somebody supply me with his address? I’m happy to post a written question to him, or if anyone here wishes to act as an intermediary for me I’d be happy to e-mail my questions. A scanned copy of his reply posted here and in other places may settle some if not all of this argument. also look at a 2005 cadillac cts V a drain nipple in the side of the block for “blowing out coolant” according to GM lol never really worked well

Well said.I too have owned a AZ modded bottle.I gave it careful consideration and looked at the track record he had.Like many of the mods we and others do,its all a calculated risk.I am pretty sure that nobody wears shooting glasses or hearing protection everytime they fire a weapon or use a rifle range everytime we do some target practice.We can only hope that if the bottle fails that it will only leak and not explode.

I personally would not own an AZ modified tank. If someone else wants to own one and knows all about the controversy surrounding it. They can feel free to take the risk that some people feel they are taking as far as I am concerned. If someone gets a bit of flack everytime these bloody tanks get brought up… well thats the price you pay to live on the edge I guess and newer people can then decide for themselves knowing both sides of the argument.
As for stealing AZ’s livlehood. if someone thinks its dangerous it would be wrong of them not to mention what they see as a hazard just so someone else can line their pockets – We always go on about how we can say and do what we want here. AZ is not and should not be exempt from that.

it sure does make one wonder how that is. You will find it is the less informed that fall for snake oil solutions and theories defending them to the end. 100 mpg carbs, water fueled cars, health remedies and on it goes. Why I mention that is that the ‘believers’ cannot abide a criticism and defend what they cannot know as true with great voracity and volume
All the while the sound science and physics of the situation have not changed.
As much as some think innovation is crippled by rules the true innovators put pen to paper and actually engineer their innovation. Can you imagine the first buildings being done with no thought to physics and the demands of the structure working with available materials?
AZ and his fill cannot begin to compare with tube reservoirs as to strength and stress unless he actually can determine the stress inthe flat tank end and prove it by hydro testing.
What he cannot get away from is the fact that a tank/bottle drilled is a mutilated tank. That is in fact a tank unfit for service. Is it safe?
so far we have two professional engineers that speak against it. I will side with the engineers rather than the shade tree mechanics on this one.
