Q:

Condor Valves

Well it is finally happening. I know some of you have been waiting patiently for one. Second piece is there and waiting for a machine to become available.

Put them all in the lathe to scotch brite the threads. will put the hole for the VRT and then off to black oxide.

Doug, Are you selling these for the DIY kinda of guy? Been a mechanic for over 20yrs so nothing is safe from destruction!

Yes 3000 psi paint ball tank. There is a 10% factor for temp so I’m only going over a little. Normally I only fill to 3300 max. I filled to 3400 psi to match your fill.

Hydro is 4500 psi.

Doug, is that the stock Airforce tank you filled up to 3400psi ? How much is the testing pressure?

Yes, grease will really slow down that hammer! 😯

Thanks Doug, I’ll measure the gap the next time I have the bottle out of the gun.

I need the find the Super Sear thread on adjusting it. It either won’t cock, or will fire if I touch the trigger. 😯 😯 😯 . Almost to the point of putting the stock trigger back in.

I think I found another factor in my setup that might be slowing down the fps, I put lots of moly grease on the hammer and the inside of the frame and barrel where the hammer is travelling on… will try dry lubricant like graphite… or dry moly coating .. or probably use nothing at all.

From what I know, shooting here being warmer at tropical climate will gain higher velocity compare to you guys there, as the air is thinner being warm.

Will post my result again..

Anything on the mold Doug? or maybe I just follow your footsteps and go for .257?

Yes you can sand down one I gave you. Anything larger and I think it’s wasting air.

Is the .135 where I should have mine at Doug? She’s shooting “GREAT”!!! 😀 . Gotta find a welder with a TIG. I noticed one of the supports in my LDC is cracked.

I just shot the 43 gr eunjin’s in my .25 with my one off .25 valve.

3400 psi fill
62 ci tank
TH .135″
105 gr hammer
23.8″ LW barrel

1172
1169
1163
1156

Then I shot one of the production valves you have in same tank setup from a customers .25 in my 25 set the same.

.115″ TH
3400 psi fill

1137
1135
1119
1115

So you are right there. Set the TH at .135″.

When I’m posting I’m at work because I have time. If I’m in the garage working I have no time to post.

Doug; would you kindly quite pissing away your very little available free time by posting on the TAG and use the subsequently freed up time to finish up my full house .257” Talondor and ship it to me?!?!?!

The wait time for a gun from you is turning into almost equal to the wait time for a Matador. 😯

Good things come to those that wait!

Just teasing!

Regards,
Tedd

Yes. On .257 the best setting is .115″

On my .25 it is at .135″ but the valve stem is a little different.

Try it with the smallest spacer and see what it does.

The problem is exporting from there… Importing here is never an issue.

Look forward for it Doug!

So you think I need the delrin spacer? Ok, will experiment with the size of your recommendations.. Probably with different thickness…Will post result again.

You should set the tophat at around .135″ if you can. You are using more air than you need to.

I’m waiting for a mold to be made and will let you know how it goes.

Any laws to shipping a mold to you?

I did loosen the spring from about 1 mm to 2 mm , and the spacer? The black delrin washer? I removed that completely in the first place.

I did tried to get slugs from Jerry, but somehow it is now illegal for export… 😯 EunJin is the heaviest I have now.

Any info of slugs mould being sold? I thought I should try and make my own slugs…

Did you loosen up the valve spring? I had it set at .055″. Put it at .100″

You can make a smaller spacer to give it more tophat gap.

You need some bigger slugs. With 70 gr you would be around 150 fpe.
