Q:

EDgun Matador is the #1 PCP in the world…

EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…

Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

Thanks eddie, I have had a few conversations with Jane and it seems the
BSA barrels have an OD that is too big to fit the EDgun… I have a Lothar
Walther barrel on the way….

Hmmmmmm. [Ahem] Would that be a “new”, super, duper, specially-made-for-Ed, Lothar Walther barrel? 😕 🙂

Ahem, ah, ah, ah,………………………………No… . It is a blank straight
from Lothar Walther.

Do you have a link to info? How do you like it?

It is ok but, did not knock my socks off… It is the first fixed focus scope I
have had. I haven’t really taken the time to compare it to the Leapers or BSA
yet so I really have no comparisons to offer….. Seems to snap in well on
parallax and is accurate for ranging to 100yds although it is scaled in meters……

SWFA SS 16X42….

Mam, what scope did you end up putting back on the gun?

No problem.

I remember seeing that turning down a barrel along its full length any substantial amount will increase the bore size because it releaves the stress in the barrel that is induced by the rifling process.

It would be a bit of a risk to take…

Dave

Again, good advise Dave.. Thanks

Mam, looks like all of the BSA guns use their 15.5mm barrel.

I will shoot BSA an email asking if they produce a 12mm barrel.

A 12mm LW barrel would be easy to get hold of.

Dave

Yep, I thought it may be a problem to get one in 12mm…. The one I have
now is an LW standard in 12mm…… Not sure if I want to try to get one
turned down the full length.. Thanks for checking on that Dave… That is a
great help…..

If I can get one from the guy I get the 15.5mm ones from, then I would be happy to send one over.

Ill do a bit of research and see if BSA make a gun with a 12mm barrel.

Be right back

Dave

Thanks Dave….

mmmmm……………… BSA barrel 😀

One good thing about living in the UK is that we can get BSA barrels easily 😀

I can only get them in 15.5mm OD that I know of, but will enquire about a skinny one 😀

Is there a BSA gun with a 12mm barrel?

Dave

So source one for me and send it over…. I am having a really hard time
getting my hands on one…. Oh wait…. I have a really good guy over
there that just might be able to find one for me…….
HEY PABS, ARE YOU AWAKE…. I NEED A .22cal, 12mm OD BSA BLANK 19+ inches long, can be new or used 😀
