Q:

EDgun Matador is the #1 PCP in the world…

EDIT: This was not a gun problem after all… It was a problem with my adjustable magnification scopes… All 3 scope (Leapers 8-32X56, Nikko Stirling Diamond 10-50X60, and Leapers 4-12X40) were losing their zero and shifting the Point Of Impact every time I moved the magnification adjustment wheel from the lowest setting to the highest setting and back again to the lowest setting…

Eduard, here are some 65yd groups I shot this morning…. It seems that
sometimes it is a laser shooting 3-5 shots on top of each other and then shots
start to fly everywhere… I cleaned the barrel very carefully and shot some 100
shots before shooting these groups… The wind was absolutely zero… My
Combro is on the blink so I could not get any FPS information…. This gun has
well over 10,000 rounds through it. It does not make a difference what
the psi is in the gun and I removed the shroud/mod to make sure it was not
causing any problems. (See group on bottom left that says “No mod”)
I also pulled out my Rapid to make sure that it was not the conditions.. The
Rapid shot a 10 shot sub 1″ group at 80yds. The EDgun shot 2 sub 3″
groups so I know it was not the wind nor the shooter causing the wild
flyers…. I ordered a new Chrony this morning so I should have FPS info
next week….

Mam, I am grasping at straws here, could the two bolts that hold the front breech be loose. That could cause an air leak. My other thought is check that the barell mount bolts haven’t loosened and allowed the barell to shift a little. I figure that you have already checked them.

I’ll have my Chrony Tuesday morning, if you want to run over and borrow it till yours comes in. 😆

Well just for good measure I just checked them all again… Sorry to say,
none were loose…. I’ll bring the Kolaches and I’ll see you Tuesday
morning…lol

Look carefully at the end of the barrel, looks like you could damage the place where pellets going out the barrel. It should be sharp. Use magnification glass to see if there is not any damages on the edge of the barrel.

Ed, the crown is polished smooth and sharp with no damage….

Most people won’t tell you this, but what you really need to do is shoot it over a chronograph to find the speed it is shooting at. People will probably tell you otherwise, but it will help to find the speed and you will also be able to check for consistency between shots.

They really help. You should look into getting one.

If I only had a chrony, I wouldn’t be so moany.
I could shoot all day as the people say, and never be called a phoney.
Thanks Lama.. You’re the man….

Ya know what might help… 😕 😆

Looks like a wee bit too much coffee this morning… 😆

When was the last time you shot this rifle? Have you tried Ted in Madison’s fix?

Quit the coffee years ago… Gave me stomach cramps. 😳

I shoot the EDgun a lot… Might have been a few weeks since the last
session… Yep, tried changing the speed but could not tell what I was
doing because I did not have a CHRONY.

Wow Pabs, a chrony! I knew you would come through for me some
day….LMAO…

Has anyone mentioned tightening all the nuts?

With 10,000 shots, vibration can make make things loose.

If that doesn’t work, try tightening your nuts just before you pull the trigger. It may not be the rifle at all.

Hoot 😯

Lol, it just hit me. A chrony mam’ !! Its as simple as that. You find out the speed, then that will probably be a good place to start. Try the Combro. I know I’ve never mentioned it before, but its pretty good. It tells you how fast a pellet is going. Like a chrony F1 or something. That also tells you how fast a pellet is going.
In actual fact, I reckon you could do with one of those. It will tell you how fast the pellet is going, that would be a pretty could place to start.

Mam, I’m te thinking you might want a chrony. Just to find out what the fps is. I’m just guessing here.

I think a chrony would help in this situation as well.
