fixing shroud
I need to shift or move my shroud to the right about the 1/4 inch. I’m wondering if could just warm or heat up back of shroud and try to move it that way.
I’m not sure how these are built so I could have it all wrong to begin with. Could I get the back end hot enough to get the front to move over a bit to get it to stop clipping.

Could it be that the baffles inside the shroud have lead deposit’s on them causing pellet to go off center? Just thinking. Maybe run a bore brush down through it several times.
1/4″ of misalignment – sounds like nothing lands on your target because everything stays within the shroud.
Eeelct did you have two problems POI drift and pellet clipping ? 😯 on one cricket or both ? I had pellet clipping but I claim moderator and I got brand new. I have feeling you can not successful fixed moderator. If they did not glue it there is big chance…
Sounds to me that something happen to the center mounting section (treaded piece that accept the barrel) located midway inside the shroud.
I would try and get a replacement OEM shroud or an after market one from Donny before trying to removing it.

I wouldn’t be keen to dremmel the hole as I believe hole should be equal all around for best accuracy.
That is a lot eelect,
When you install the shroud when turning does the front wobble as you tightening it on.
Or does the back wobble or both front and back wobble ?
If it does not wobble, take a good look on the inside to see with a flash light or bore scope if any clipping has occurred on the inside baffles.
A lot of new Cricket owners (not that your a newbie eelect) are not use to there new gun often mistakenly double load or even load there mags with backwards pellets. This may sometimes cause damage to the internals and cause POI changes and flyers.

I use a straw to guild my cleaning rope through baffles and everything is lined up nice and straight. Straw is very tight so i’m sure the baffles are good to go. I think i just need to persuade my shroud over just a tad and make it stay there.
1/4 inch does seem alot but it has all of a sudden started to clip. i used a yellow steel marker to paint or mark the inside of front cap. I now have some serious markings sowing on one side of exit hole. I have to do the tape shot to make sure for certain. I can easily move shroud 1/4 in using my hand. i took it out last week and sighted it in again after a good cleaning and it was 2.5 mils to the right. I then adjusted scope and it did produce some nice groups with one weirdo here and there at 75 yards. Next day i went out and took a pop at a pigeon at 65 yards and missed completely because gun had gone back to original zero. now that was just lovely……
I can’t get shroud off so I don’t know if it wobbles. I don’t really need to take it off as its nice and parallel with air tube
1/4 inch !!!!!!!!!!

Found it, it was Keyser: http://talonairgun.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=30407&p=306724&hilit=torch#p306724
1/4? That’s a lot eelect. I remember a member on here whose friend used a blow torch to heat up the shroud and remove the front cap so that he could put in a 1/2 x 20 adapter. I’ll try to find the post. The baffles are coned shaped inside fyi.
How bad is it clipping? 1/4″ seems like a lot. I just got my Cricket back from a tune and some shroud work. The original shroud had been drilled out so that a custom 6″ ldc could be screwed on. The tuner made an insert to make the hole smaller, back to original specs. He didn’t have a chance to check accuracy. When I put my scope on and started to shoot I had really bad groups. After some investigation, I noticed lead marks on one side of the exit hole. I called the tuner and he said to take a Dremmel and carefully remove a tiny bit at a time until there is no clipping. Hope this long story helps.

The way its acting is pellet clipping only. I had to replace shroud on 22 cricket as well. I guess that’s why they land on yellow and are up for sale. 😆
