HB indexing issue/CLOSED
I think some word from Kalibrgun concerning the indexing issue of the Colibri/Hummingbird would be welcome by HB customers. I don’t want to think our dealers have to go it alone (left holding the bag?) on this issue. So, where is Kalibrgun on this matter? It makes the product. Some word about the company’s position can’t be too much to expect. Can it? I’m sure I’ve just missed where Kalibrgun chimed in.

The current price is right, that’s for certain. Some people complain about a “grinding” in the cocking action, but this seems to always be when they first receive the gun. I believe every gun needs some degree of “break-in” to smooth out the action. Some will disagree.
All the fuss started when the multi-shot came out, which was produced because everyone, and their dog, was pounding on Ed to produce a multi-shot. It’s hard to improve on perfection. The single shot Edgun was at the very edge of perfection. Perhaps a single shot is where a problem free pcp belongs?
Any time I’ve seen mechanical features added to a pcp, there have been problems. It takes time to work out the bugs in a new technology, and multi-shot pcp’s from Eastern Europe have all had their design problems… Cricket, Vulcan, whatever! That’s just the way it is. If a body doesn’t like Edguns, then there are others to chose from…that’s what Ed is saying, or the way I interpret it. He has never pampered his customers…never. He has, eventually, sorted out all the problems that he was made aware of. He’s just not a guy to be pushed. He’ll do things on his time frame, not yours, and that is part of the Edgun experience. It really pisses some people off, others just shrug it off, but there has never been a mass exodus from the Edgun line. When a perfect multi-shot bullpup is developed, one that pleases absolutely everyone, the market will speak. I’m not holding my breath for that to happen.
Anyway, this probably needs to be discussed on the Edgun section of Bullpups.
Sorted out eventually , yes (i quess) . Not pampered his customers ? Well – a customer should not have to wait for four months before one gets a replacement (sort of since my SS breech was replaced with that POS first gen MS) for a blown up part , a part that blew up because of bad materials thus being a crystal clear warranty item . The other EdGun (bought so i could have something to shoot while i wait for those parts) had a clipping issue due the out of center machined parts (again a clear warranty issue ) but that was ignored by the manufacturer – despite at least ten e-mails send. If that isn´t pampering the customers then i don´t know what is.
It’s good that they listen to their customers. You are right, it’s a flawed design and a little bit of imagination is all it took to make that correction.
They probably just hurried to get the product to market, in a manual cocking model, and didn’t have a chance to grab their cockers and move them back and forth vigorously, to ensure they still went off…or words to that effect! 🙄
Whether they come up with a retro fix, or not, at least we know how to correct the problem. The next thing we know is Ernest will be moving to CZ, to help design their products.

Steve from WWAG and I have been in contact with Edita @ KalibrGun and his Technicians are vary interested and requested more details and video on the spring mods.
The magnetic magazine advance is unreliable, with a easy fix by installing a EXTENSION SPRING and by doing so the parts on the photo is no longer needed. with this spring mod it will rotate the mag and advance a pellet every time its cock fired or not so it will double load when you improperly de- cock. lets wait and see what they think and maybe help them with a better FIX.

Wrong interpetation of my words, I say that to those who is just GOING to buy my guns but have some doubts about it, reading some bullshit on forums. For those who bought my guns I always tries to find the solution in case some problem appears.
Cut down the BS. Your solution, in my case, took four months-to get a replacement for a breech that blew on my face. Instead than a working solution as an replacement for the original single shot i got the first generation of those sub-par “multi shot”. While i was waiting for you to fix that replacement i bought another EdGun so i could have something to shoot. That one had the clipping shroud issue – which you apparently did not care about since i never got any answer to any of the dozens of e-mails i send at your way.
So don´t you tell me about “wrong interpretions” about your business model. :angrymob:

I love my single shot Edgun’s but I might have a different opinion if I had jumped in on the M’s. Even the .30 cal which was brand new at the time is still great. It is so compact and quiet and still rivals the current market offerings. Just ask about 50 raccoon’s. 😆 :4: The only thing I would change are the stocks because I like fancy walnut.
