I have to ask those who waits for EDguns to excuse me…
Tony knocks to my head every second day with the only question “When!?” and the only thing I can say “Have no idea… 🙁 ” The problem is that we have to delivery LW barrels from Germany to Russia, it used to be very smooth and predictable but now, due to some changes in Russian custom work (I hate them more the police 🙁 ) it takes so long. For instance if it took them a week to clear the barrels at the custom before but not about 250 barrels are stuck at the custom for 7 week already 🙁 and I have no idea when they will go out (they promise one more week and then let them out) but I do not believe them any more. So, we expect the second delivery, which is going the other way in a couple of weeks and as soon as we have barrels here I will assemble guns and send them to Tony immediately, so be patient 🙂 (the delivery out of Russia is another headache but that is next stage).
Next year we are very serous about opening the separate enterprise in Europe to make the guns for client out of Russia to avoid dealing with Russian stupid authorities, rules and officials… Keep fingers crossed for us 🙂

@ Zocoloco: The good lady was more attracted to Sicily than Lanzarote and I decided to make some concessions (including a mink coat) in order to fortify my position for the imminent battles on the FX and Edgun front.
Congrats on the Lonestar purchase, I don’t think you will regret it. IMO BSA barrels are superior to LW. I am having an exact replica of the Matador stock made by a Dutch guy for my .25 Lonestar. Will post pics and report on the performance when I get it.
@Oldgoat: I am being more and more convinced that while at 940-950 fps ALL pellets are more accurate than at 1040, an MV of around 900 produces an even better (if not best) accuracy for the simple reason that above this speed the law of diminishing returns sets in.
@Ted in Madison&Oldgoat: I am not too sure the .25 Edgun isn’t going to be made any more. I think Ed realized the shortcomings in it’s present configuration and is doing all he can to come up with a winner in this calibre as well.
Anyway, Spring is a trditional offspring time, isn’t it 😀
Yep, I also understand that Ed won’t be making anymore .25 longs. Ed set them up for Eunjin heavies at 950 fps. The Eunjins just didn’t shoot that accurate. Stock, the JSB exact heavies were going 1042 fps and that ws too fast. Once Jeff and I turned the regulator and hammer spring tension adjuster down and got the JSBs shooting 935-955 fps, the gun became a really good shooter.
Last that I heard, Ed was trying to get the JSB factory to make some heavy .25 cal pellets. If they come out with something, it wouldn’t suprise me to see that Ed has started selling the .25 long again.
I like my .25 better than my .22.
I’m glad I “collected” mine, my grandson might eventually end up selling it! 😆

I don’t presume to speak for Edgun.ru, but it is my understanding that the .25 will no longer be available. Tedd and Jeff just became collectors.

ed , first id like to thank you for keeping us up to date. i hope to have my matador soon im patiently waiting. as far as the russian government goes , im sure its not any more corrupt than the united states gov. the difference is that the u. s. gov is better at hiding the corruption. i was born in poland and moved to chicago , probably the most corrupt city in the country, i feel your pain.

At last! Barrels are at my friend’s hands in Saint Petersburg now. I am sendig taxy there to pick them up (650 km. one way 🙂 ) And as I told before – the assembling will begin on 10th of January.

Yes, we started the assembling and as I told before I expect all the ordered guns to leave my place to begin their travel to the customers 🙂 after 20th of January.
As for long .25 — we started to make them. That will be new Matador, we call it R3 (restyling # 3) and we expect them to be ready in March. There will be only 25 guns. Part of them are sold out already. So, as we say it in Russia “who is earlier woke up he gets the sleeprs” 🙂 or “in big family be quick” 🙂
As for the barrels, LW make the barrels for us according to our specification and I can say they are perfect, you can just believe me as I’ve seen many barrels for my life 🙂
