I like the look of the new FX Bobcat stock
just saw a picture of it and it Looks much, much better.
Still if I had one I would cut the stock down where the Mag hole is ๐ ๐
I will be shooting a Cat .30 in a few minutes :):)

What the monkey dong is going on here. These clever cheap shots are starting to make me feel uncomfortable. You know I can’t win this battle and I am not going to pretend I am packing like in Amistad

Let’s pick on SECoda instead, he seems to like midget porn.

There’s no .30s in the Evanix lines ๐
What’s a few thousandths of an inch among friends???

hey HOOT, that rifle comes in .177 .22 .25 and .357

Too bulky mate! Just my opinion… ๐
Just three or four inches off the back of the BC would suit me just fine. Obviously it is a fine piece of machinery, but the stock is the defining point of a bullpup, classic bullpups that is. Ultimate compactness defines the term “bullpup”, as I understand the word.
As it exists, the BC is a nice looking “tactical carbine”, a niche between a regular carbine, and a bullpup design, that FX has created. In a “skeletonlized” stock…it would have no similar product competition.
I have no bones with the FX design, performance, or function. In caliber 30, it’s a nice addition to the variety of pcp’s on the market.
I also am attracted to the new Evanix Tactical Sniper .30, which is long, powerful, and makes no apologies for it’s lack of excess material. It’s literally a “bare bones” tactical pcp rifle. I like that, it’s unique.

As is the Bobcat…why not capitalize on those features and give it a category name of it’s own?
Then we’d have:
1) PCP rifles, long, standard and compact
2) Tactical pcp carbines
3) Bullpups, long, standard and compact
Just thinking out loud, not trying to step on anyone’s toes, or start a turf war among advocates of any of the categories. I simply enjoy having different toys properly categorized in accordance with the features they do/do not offer the buyer.
Oh well…(sigh) they laughed at me back in ’70 when I coined the term “Higgs Boson”.
Kindest regards,

Finally a word on a walnut stock! :8: Some of us had already gone to third party vendors in search if an alternative.
I have a question. Do you know if FX plans on offering a walnut stock at some point? There are MANY who would jump at a chance for a model with that offering. Maybe you can express our interests?
Yes. FX definitely plans to offer the stock in walnut. I, too, would welcome this – especially if the wood feels similar to the Royale.
Also, since wood is a more rigid material, it may be possible to thin out a few areas, and hopefully even knock a few grams off the weight.
FX walnut stocks are made by Minelli (Italy). The synthetic stocks are made in-house. So, the timeline will be much longer.
I look forward to seeing the walnut version for sure!
How’s the cheek rest now with the slight change in the rear of the stock design? Would lower scope rings usable now?
I know you said you had no issuses with it but there was some concerns by others about the accessability of the fill nipple.. was this addressed?
I found it strange that they used a fosters fitting fill nipple normally only used on their bottle models like the Boss instead of the std fill probe they use on all their other air cylinder PCPs.. any ideas why they did this?
Girls with extra testosterone? ๐ I missed a big buck hunting this morning and had to take it out on someone. ๐ฏ
It’s a Bang-Cock thing Donnyfi. Some guys like their girls with a little extra testosterone.
They typically have mommy and daddy issues so this way they get all the love they need in one package, literally.
My plastic surgery comment may have been way off base. ๐ฎ I had an epiphany in the middle of the night when the term evolution was used to describe what was happening and I realized I had witnessed the birth of the inspiration for the beluga stock and quite recently. ๐ฏ Please accept this with the joy that was intended. ๐
All rights to Prometheus the movie 2012.
Likely pushing $2300- with a reg and Walnut stock.
Dang, these things are expensive.
Might end up yet with a .25 reg’d and plastic.
Awesome! Thanks Ted

I make a light-hearted joke. You make an eye-rolling, vaguely coherent, philosophical argument… I believe my nephew refers to this behavior as “butt hurt”.
I’ll check in for a while and try to answer any legitimate questions.
