I like the look of the new FX Bobcat stock
just saw a picture of it and it Looks much, much better.
Still if I had one I would cut the stock down where the Mag hole is 🙂 🙂

thegr8wendt: I’ve read your threads on the Yellow, good stuff :thumb: However, by all means we are not hating on the Bobcat or any other guns that are not Matadors and Crickets. Just honest opinions. I can say with confidence that most of the guys on here were excited about the Bobcat’s release. Specs and pictures were very hush hush. But when it came out, it wasn’t what we expected. Matador has been through years of evolution to get to where it is today. Knowing that FX is listening to their customers, the Bobcat will get better and I myself will be following and rooting for their progress 🙂
If there was a running for the next Bullpup designer, Wingman you got my vote.
Yep, the BobCat is uglier thatn other BP’s. But Hell, they are all butt UGLY. Well, to most shooters anyway. Only a few think they look good. Sad that Fredrics BP is so ugly that evern the BP lovers think it’s ugly. 😯 😆
If it shoots, who cares? After all, isn’t that what the BP buyers were saying a couple of years ago? 😉

IMO the ergonomics are more comfortable than either a Cricket or Matador. Personally I like the pistol grip on the original Bobcat stock. Ted may be the only person here who has put his mitts on both the old and new stock. So what say you Ted? Which is more functional?

I’m sure it functions GREAT, I said it when I saw this stock (well and the Crosman one that is basically the same), these BP’s need more butt length and height behind the action if the scope rail is so far forward, my Cricket and EdGun are both WAY too short with the ‘cheek rest’ being way too low when shouldered… I made a fully adjustable butt assembly to get the height and extension I needed to shoot properly.
It’s just uglier than SHIT. And that is what EVERYONE here is talking about (nobody has shouldered it because they don’t want to spend 2k on something so UGLY). This new stock design is uglier than the first one.
So you’d be fine with an ugly ass GF with tits down to her knees but puts out like a broken candy machine in the sack, when a good looking one is willing and is just as good in bed? 😯

Contrary to popular belief (on the Yellow and from the FX sycophants) it’s possible to have function and beauty in the same design, some might even say that’s what makes it a “good” design. :8:

There are a few FX designs that are sexy, this one most definitely hit the ugly branch on the way down the assembly line. 
I agree with you Brant, I was slightly disappointed when I saw the pictures. I was out shopping and saw Ted’s post but didn’t get to read it until I got home.
One of the things that I was hoping for was FX improving their shroud for the .25 and .30 cal and shorten it to the .22’s length. Well for the .25 at least. the stock looks a little better than it did before with the gap hidden and the butt shortened. I am still going to stick to my R3M order.
Ted if you’re browsing through here, much props to you for giving it a shot. Re-designing the stock is definitely no easy task especially when you’ve seen and held the Matador for so long. That and knowing that no matter how bad or great your design is there’s always a guy name Sir Ville out there lol!!
This is starting to remind me of too much plastic surgery. More Joan Rivers than Michael Jackson though. Looks big and heavy. 😯
There’s no way around it. It IS an afterthought. One of the deciding factors when i bought my first EdGun was that smooth and IMO good looking SS breach with the ability for very fast reload.
Back to the drawing board. Start from scratch and design a gun made around the MS action instead on having it the other way around. Afterthought my friend. That’s what it really is.

I probably have read all your comments/thoughts about the R3M action and IMHO they are 100% spot on 😀 .
I think our dear uncle Hoot is pointing all the BP makers in the right direction, MS cycling must happen in front or next to the trigger with an entirely new design/project.
(That’s till an air efficient semi-auto will come out….)

Hey, some of my best friends are Asian.. Im no hater.. nor do I speak for every NZ guy but the NZ girls on the other hand say that Asian guys need all the help they can get in the bulge department.. 😆
To be perfectly honest I have to say I LIKE the new BC stock… I am yet to handle it but on looks alone its not ugly. Yes there are things that could be done to improve it but can you imagine the mess of a stock that would come out of FX if they took everybody’s advice? I have never been a big fan of any of the plastic stocks out of FX but this one looks to be very functional and it would be welcomed in my collection which is something I couldn’t say for Miss Baluga. I for one would love to see this stock in walnut.. maybe just thinned out a little in the fore end. When I do buy one it will get a Custom Walnut stock for sure.
I actually was going to post the following link to my NZ forum right when I first saw this Mk II stock released.. it looks strikingly like the one I designed back on March when I first laid eyes on Miss Baluga.

I was going to take credit for the design and show off my reworked Photoshop bullpup stock that I based on other FX stocks back in march that looks remarkably like the new one from FX but since all you haters hate it so much Im going to deny I had anything to do with it.. 😉 😯 I need a bus..
