Dam Zonk you have 16 Trucks,

Mike
Greg, same here as I had everything paid off at an early age of 44. Always have paid cash for my new trucks, all 16 of them.
Bird, thank you for your service! Agent Orange was some bad stuff for sure now our service members are suffering from the after effects.
Like GKU said anything can happen . I had a great career going for me in the medical field , but at 55 I got
Cancer from my heavy exposure to Agent Orange and as a result of the cutting they had to do on me I became
disabled and had to take a medical retirement . The good news even though I have physical limitations the Cancer
has been totally removed and now for the pass eleven years I can still fish and shoot my guns , also only $2004.00
out of my monthly retirement of $5185.00 is taxable . I got Fucked by serving my government and they rewarded
me for my military services by giving me full medical , eye , dental and financial services at no cost to me . I have
no complaints and would serve my country again in a heart beat if ever called upon again . God Bless America .

Yes, anything can turn into a nightmare …….. life can spin on a dime and it has many many times.
That’s why we never invest it all into one pie ………….. :winkn:

Sounds good :8:
I believe in Europe 95% of people depend on the system simply because in some way or another you are forced to enrol to the system and funds for the pension scheme are taken directly from your payslip.
Real estate investments could be good but you never know because currently all the non primary residences are heavily taxed and what seemed a good investment turns into a nightmare.
But I believe the whole subject is a bit more complex…
Anyhow, enjoy your retirement! :8:
I never relied on the system ……..
Was taught at an early age of 4 to save and invest in coin and stamp collecting, went to all the silent auction.
At the age of 14 I had a quit nice portfolio going on.
At 19 I stared to invest in the real estate market and bought my first home/house …. owned 4 at 45.
Got married at 46 with the addition of my wife’s properties we have 8 now which 6 are rentals the other 2 we live in.
Day treading got me sent over the edge and I was forced into retried at 55 with pension from my day job.
We’re debt free with everything paid for.
I’m also in trusted to my oldest sisters properties ………. she retired as a Real Estate Broker.
She’s the one who taught me about investing early, she’s 16 years older than I am so it’s now my turn to take care of her.

You guys retire so early in the States?
Across Europe retirement age is today more likely to be 65-67 years for men :angrymob:
Besides age you have to meet several parameters, for example at least 40 years of contribution to the SS and then the minimum of retirement age.
For example some guys having started to work already at the age of 18, at 58 years with 40 years of contribution they still can’t retire and have to continue to work till 65 years to reach the right to retire.
Some countries in Europe start to evaluate 70 years of age to retire….
The system is f*cked! :angrymob:
