Jerry’s slugs
Hi all,
I got Jerry’s slugs last week and could not wait to try them. They made my 43’s look like babies. Today I shot the 6 ring slugs at a 1 and a half inch board at 24 yards, and it went through and hit the concrete block behind and mushroomed to 3/4 of an inch. I’m not sure about anyone else, but it seemed that my condor sounded a lot quieter. Maybe because of the size of the slug. The 43’s hit hard a make a huge impact when they hit. I have not used a chrony yet and I’m curious to see the velocity. They did shoot bullseye every shot at 24 yards. If anyone has any info on there chrony and experience please do tell.

I received the slugs today. As soon as I get my gun back from getting fixed right. I’ll be going to town thanks again. They look awesome.

I shot a 6 ring in my 1800 psi reg today and it went 687 fps. Wondering what I could get if I swap in 2500 psi reg.
Cant wait to get your slugs. I sent my gun out to get set up for them my trigger worked on and a new shroud. Today it tested 911fps 6 ring. Im so stoked. Hopefully soon Ill have videos of shooting off my feeders.

Where’d you see that? He bought those slugs so long ago they probably look like civil war artifacts by now! Well, if he kept the bag sealed, they probably look fine….assuming the half-life of the plastic is damn near forever!
Hey Jerry, I saw that Dave G was stacking the 9 rings with a ST barrel he is testing.

Wow, those numbers are huge Dyotat! The 9 rings are around 88gr so you’re making around 139fpe, not bad for a .25!
Hopefully you get my gun shooting well finally Dyotat. I cant wait. I have plenty of animals to shoot and have camera ready to tape. Gona see what the 6 rings can do…

I got to the jungle today about 4:45 pm and immediately spotted three pigs rooting in the wet leaves under the hau trees in the jungle clearing. One was big and the other two were smaller. I stalked them, staying concealed in the bushes.They couldn’t see me because I was wearing green and they couldn’t smell me because the wind was blowing in my direction. I set up behind a tree, using the trunk to support the barrel, after about ten minutes they started moving in my direction. One of the two smaller ones got within 10 yards of me, and I had to dial my telescopic sight down to 4X, but he was partially concealed behind some bushes so I continued to wait. When he finally came out, I hit him in the forehead with a 6 ring slug and he went down immediately and started kicking. The 61 grain slug penetrated his skull and was an instantly lethal brain shot. The other two pigs must have taken off at the sound, for I didn’t see them anymore. I didn’t have a scale, but I estimate his weight at somewhere between 60 and 75 pounds. Anyway, this time I aimed higher on the skull and that did the trick, along with Jerry’s slugs. Note: This was not the boar that I had hit twice in the summer. Below is a link to the photo.
